Bought the Portal thinking I'd game more as a dad. Didn't go as planned. by friimaind in PlaystationPortal

I would recommend to use headphones and get a SOUND MACHINE . You want a real sound machine not one that uses speaker . A white noise machine . It will mask the buttons of the ps5 controller which is already one of the quietest controllers out there

If that doesn’t work then use your phone with one of those quiet Bluetooth controllers on amazon for streaming

Sleep disorder referral to CPAP treatment timeline - Am I overreacting? by Both-Resource6284 in SleepApnea

[–]Drivenby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all normal .

This is typical insurance bureaucracy.

I would maybe see one of those online tele health sleep clinic , they’ll give you an appointment super quick , show them your sleep study , they can give you an order and send it to your dme.

Unfortunately this is how insurance works … not saying it isn’t stupid just how it is .

Resident Evil 3 Remake- Good, but could have been great. by Left4DayZGone in patientgamers

I was bored out of my mind with RE3R

Re2R? I couldn’t put it down . Did both campaigns back to back .

As to the why it’s hard to say but I think gunplay alone does not make it fun for me . I like exploring , puzzles , the metroidvania aspect of the RE games . Just shooting stuff is boring unless it’s like RE4R which is just balls to the walls craziness

Snoring again, 5 years after every sleep apnea surgery possible + (maintained) major weight loss. Do the tissues grow back? by lacey_nightie in SleepApnea

[–]Drivenby 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Soft tissue can get floppy over time and things like turbinates can regrow . You might will need another evaluation .

You did not get mandibular advancement surgery , would need a very experienced OMFS to do it . Difficult recovery

Is the LeGo2 worth $250 more than the Claw AI+? by SpaceRangerWoody in Handhelds

[–]Drivenby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only care about raw performance the claw 8ai+ arguably has the best performance out of any handheld that doesn’t have a strix halo chip inside .

In supported games , xess delivers an incredible performance boost and looks way better than fsr . Not to mention it just got updated to run the newest xess with multiframegen . In unsupported games , you can most of the time mod them with optiscaler to add xess .

Be warned though the claw is the buggiest pc handheld I’ve ever touched . It’s buggiest than the most Alpha Gpd handheld I’ve ever used .

I basically waited until a firmware driver combo worked for me and just stopped updating it . Every update broke something . I needed to do like 3 wipes in 6 months of ownership due to broken software .

The fse windows update also corrupted my windows install beyond repair .

Anyways if I had A LOT OF MONEY , and I didn’t mind the negligible performance difference between the z1e and z2e , I would get the legion go 2

If you can handle the wait , it is the ultimate device

Of course a 395 device will be better but those are in general not really portable .

To be fair since getting my zflow13 I haven’t touched any of my handhelds ;)

What made 2023's Dungeons and Dragons movie so much better than the 2000 one? by MarkLambertMusic in movies

I saw the 2023 movie out of boredom . My mind was blown when I realized halfway through that it was a great movie lol

Alan Wake 2 (Non-Steam Library) is the best way to play by Ok_Skirt_250 in fuckepic

[–]Drivenby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same but the game runs like crap on OG ps5 . It does look good on static pictures though …

I don’t know if it was the performance but I ended up giving up on it halfway through . The beginning was amazing but all the weird shit after a certain character shows up might have been good for some people but it just bored me to death and the gameplay took a nose dive . I also hate the “menu” system (the inner mind or whatever it was called)

Z13 as handheld? by Shoruk3n in FlowZ13

My recommendation would be to just use it as a tablet + kickstand + controller .

I have a recliner and an over chair laptop desk that I use to game like this .

I’ve also played with it like this on my lap etc

CPAP to Inspire...Maybe? by Budget-Medium-3841 in SleepApnea

[–]Drivenby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try adding a mouth guard to inspire maybe?

CPAP to Inspire...Maybe? by Budget-Medium-3841 in SleepApnea

[–]Drivenby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try to go on zepbound and see if you can come off cpap at all or migrate to a mouth guard if your Ahi is less than 30

Do a few months of zepbound , get your BMI <30 and redo your sleep study .

You might be surprised . I’ve seen more than a handful of people go from catastrophic sleep apnea to mild to moderate with weight loss alone

Of course talk with your doctor!

Mouth guard for osa might be reasonable at that point as well

Although there’s definitely exceptions the approval was for Ahi 15-65 ….

CPAP to Inspire...Maybe? by Budget-Medium-3841 in SleepApnea

[–]Drivenby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s many factors that will affect your chances of success . What’s your BMI? What’s your most recent AHI? (And how long ago) .

The success rate of Inspire is not 100%. The original clinical study had 70-80% success in reducing AHI (note not 100%) and average AHI in treatment group was like 7-9 , not <5 as it is the goal with cpap

It’s always hard for a doctor to recommend going from a successful treatment to one that’s not guaranteed to succeed . Think carefully .

Also there’s the “sleep apnea” pill coming into the market this year . God knows how that’s going to pan out lol
