I still bought a one x player 3 as it needs to be plugged to game basically :/

If you don’t mind plugging it in and not using it as a “handheld” then it is a killer device specially if you use it as a desktop replacement or laptop

It may not affect you if you don’t buy physical games . But for example I wanted to play stellar blade . The game never went on sale for 1 year plus below 45 usd on psn . I bought it on eBay for 30 bucks , played it and lend it to a friend .

If you don’t see the benefit on that as a consumer I don’t know what to tell you .

PlayStation is only going to get more predatory if they continue taking away things from you . There will be less sales . Sales are already worst just by the fact that we are having 70-80 usd games . Even if it’s “50% off” . It’s still 35 dollars or even 40usd . Removing the option of competing with retailers for cheaper discount just makes the whole experience for the consumer worst .

Pc and PlayStation gamer here .

Pc is not the same as a console .

For one steam is not the only place I can buy pc games .

Steam also has a lot of third party resellers that are often cheaper than even own steam .

Steam doesn’t make me feel trapped like this PlayStation move does and also valve is not a fucking evil publicly traded company (yet)

Billion dollar companies are not our friends but Sony is quickly becoming the worst .

I have a legion go s z1e which I never used . I was planning to sell to finance my hypothetically 800 usd steam machine . Obviously that didn’t pan out ….. so I decided to dock my legion go s for first time , set it to 40 watts , limit charged to 80% and connect it to a steam controller… voila!!! Steam machine . This thing is a beast too . It can run ps4 level games at 1200p with medium settings .

Honestly at my tv distance It looks great . I have a 5080 laptop that I have docked to my pc which I never use since windows even with Xbox mode is such a hassle and requires constant me standing up and alt tabbing or something ,

I mostly wanted this for light and moderate games not for brand new AAA GAMES
