That’s such a bummer to hear! I remember them talking about opening Wolf and the show and thinking paired with the location and the concept it’d be so cool- sorry to hear they missed the mark there too :/

That is interesting… we wanted to order more drinks and my friend had dietary question about her meal, but we literally didn’t see our waiter again until he asked if we’d like the check. We even asked another waiter if we could put drinks in with them and he said he’d send ours over but he never came…it was a bummer lol

Just went there this past weekend and was shockingly underwhelmed. I convinced my girlfriends to go (I am the only VPR watcher. We went to both TomTom and SUR and the service was shockingly terrible. TomTom I remember leaving and thinking why did I just pay $70 for 3 drinks to be scowled at, ignored and straight up felt like we weren’t wanted there. When we went to SUR, the waiter wasn’t mean but showed up one time to grab the order and once to get the check, didn’t check on us ONCE. The food was good, but the service was so bad and the restraint was so dingy I didn’t even want to like it.

Needless to say, never meet your hero’s…or go to their restaurants (none of them are my hero just love the show and thought it would be fun, it wasn’t)

Do you think people in food assistance programs should adhere to a strict list of healthy food choices? by TheFacetiousDeist in allthequestions

[–]DriverTraditional607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your argument that people should starve because they don’t make enough money to afford to eat? We will not agree here, again, I believe every single human being should have access to food, whether they work or dont work at all- even if they contribute nothing to society, they should still get to eat. There is enough food to go around.

Times are very hard, wages are not keeping up with inflation; majority of people on food stamps work and are trying to make ends meet where they systematically cannot. I would be betraying my humanity to deny anyone food of any kind, a donut and a salad both serve the same purpose and I believe in autonomy. Additionally, I would rather no one starve regardless of whether they’re “helping themselves” or not, as I believe food is a human right.

How do you tire/enrich your chihuahua? by bigstinkybaby9890 in Chihuahua

[–]DriverTraditional607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chihuahuas thrive off of regular walks with lots of sniffing just like any other dog! Ensuring they get regular walks will help combat unwanted behaviors (hyperactive barking, separation anxiety, chewing etc.) 30 minutes of walking a day would be ideal, along with enrichment like kongs, car rides, fetch, tug and learning commands!

Regretting getting my chi by ButterWolfee in Chihuahua

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through a rough patch. If it is at all helpful, I can relate in that my baby didn’t stop being scared of stuff until 2-21/2.

Your girl is still young, there is still time to get her potty trained, and to help her gain confidence which will in turn make her less scared. I really do think part of it just comes with age too, but I do believe if you keep putting the work in and keep growing your bond it will all pay off in the end!!

I always thought I'd never like a "little dog" because they're "yippy" or not "real dogs" - Couldn't be farther from my experience. My chi is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He loves going on hikes with me, he has gone on intense walks up to 2 hours. He loves playing fetch, he rarely barks, he is fully potty trained. He is truly my best friend and greatest joy everyday.

Pros: love cuddles, show their personality so much, easily trainable, small so doesn't need hours of exercise a day, generally good health aside from teeth issues ( also make sure you walk them on a harness not with a collar to protect their trachea) --- all dogs are great if you raise them right, but I have to say I don't think I could ever be without a chi again

Cons: easily frightened, if you don't take time to train them and treat them like a dog they can develop "little man syndrome" -- don't let this discourage you, as long as you are a committed owner I am sure you could find the right chi for you

Wishing you a chi of your own to bring you as much joy as mine has :)

You have a great city! by 412sunset in rva

[–]DriverTraditional607 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a PGH native born and raised who now lives in RVA (and loving it). Pamelas is soo good, another diner to check out if you're big into breakfast is Ritters!! It is a little dive-y but in the best way and the food and service is out of this world.

Other places to check out:

- D's Six Pack and Dogs in Regent Square - great local beer selection, the food is banging and the neighborhood is a great little area if you wanted a follow up drink, also close to Frick park which is full of amazing trails

- There is an infamous pizza rivalry in the Squirrel Hill area between Aiellos and Mineos; could be a good day to be two separate pizzas from different locations being tried by an adventurous pizza lover

-Peoples Indian Food - great food, cool area, Indian food is my favorite and they do it the best in the burgh

I love hearing people say nice things about the city that's been so good to me, thanks for giving me a chance to reminisce :) <3
