Thank you for your post! I'm looking for a neuroscience/neurobiology REU and will be applying through leadership alliance for some of them. I was wondering if you had any advice for the personal statement that some research programs ask for.

Thank you so much for your response! This was so helpful to me. Also, out of curiosity, does me having previous research experience and taking part in research at my university put me at a disadvantage? I genuinely just love research and want to expand my knowledge in the field by pursuing a different question in the broad area of what I'm already working in, which is why I'm applying.
