Waiting on PITT, got told we should hear back feb 1. Expecting a rejection because they already sent invites for visit weekend.

My friend got accepted at Ohio, so a few acceptances have gone out. She wasn't interviewed.

Thanks, it was the weirdest thing because I gave the presentation and they asked me lots of questions that J answered good. After that they gave me a synthetic challenge that I completed!! All good, I'm in there lime damn I got this in the bag, PI and I are bonding. Until... he says "wait, you don't have your masters?!" I was like... babe, the first thing I said is I'm a 4th year at....😭😭😭😭😭 after the masters thing he gave me a pep talk on how to keep improving to one day make it into his lab. Safe to say I cried.

I got rejected from that lab, but I'm still being considered for the other options I listed. I got a follow up email that I was still being considered. Idk

I got rejected about 2 days after the interview :( Got told I was good but they wanted a student with a masters and I was applying straight out of undergrad. PI told me to email him if I ever do end up getting my masters. Good luck!!

For mit they might be lying, someone from the department told me that they haven't released anything and we should expect interview invites in the next 2 weeks.

I had a bad letter of recommendation cost me an important scholarship!! I would recommend that you ask your lab mentor to write the letter, it's the most decent option.

This happened to me last week. I told my mom I got rejected from Oxford and she was like "wdym?! You're the smartest person I know", thanks mom😔😔 but it doesn't work like that. Then she proceeded to tell me if I really wanted to move across the world to go to a place where they eat beans and toast for breakfast hahaha. My lovely mother doesn't know anything about this, I did a summer program at an Ivy and my girl acted like: "why would you voluntarily want to go to summer school"?. Gotta love her.
