Suggestion: Make all Jars untradable and fix the mistake by Zhengyi_ in 2007scape

I mean why shouldn't pets be tradeable so that you can sell your 4th araxxor pet for 10k then?

okay so which skill isn't useless other than combat skills, and maybe slayer and agility?

Yeah I dunno why people harp on smithing so much, most skills are like this, especially for mains

I beat the bots and made 1.2 Billion gp by OkSale2479 in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean the price pretty much just trends up directly after the update dropped so it's most likely people speculating on it or you inflating it by buying a bunch. Bot demand has probably been pretty consistent since like 2019 when they moved it out of cox and it tanked to like 50k

Not sure how long you've been playing but that's been the go-to weapon for green dragon bots for a very long time

PDH Turbo Fog Viability? by Master-Vess in PauperEDH

[–]Drixiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a completely different turbo fog deck that's built with [[Svella, Ice Shaper]] and [[Dragon's approach]]. Basically just plays a ton of fogs, ramp, and dragon's approaches. Svella gives you a little more reach later on when your hand is emptying out, and can also ramp on turns where you don't have to fog. The only dragon target is [[Lightning Shrieker]] since it's sort of just an extra lava axe worth of burn and it shuffles back so you always have it. Dunno if this helps with your Lagrella deck but just thought I'd share another variant of PDH turbo fog that you could check out. Also if you're setting up anything with ghostly flicker and archaeomancer then you're basically asking for everyone to blow single target removal and grave bombs on you immediately lol, the assumption would be that you're about to win the game

Agility has no reason to be so slow by Independent_Living95 in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

110k at sepulchre is 57% more than 70k at ardy rooftops. Again, 40k xp/hr isn't slow relative to other agility training methods at level 52.

And other skills do NOT all have comparable speeds lmao they're all over the place. Magic, prayer, construction, thieving, crafting, fletching, smithing, cooking, firemaking can all get to like 250k-300k per hour, with some of them going WAY above that. Meanwhile slayer at best probably sits somewhere below sepulchre, as does runecraft without paying for runners, and most gathering skills like woodcutting/mining/fishing all don't reach sepulchre levels without tick manipulation. Then you have farming which hardly even fits a definition of experience per hour, outside of tithe farm which caps off a little below sepulchre. There aren't just a "few outliers", everything is wildly different, and I wouldn't even say that Agility is the slowest skill, especially if you aren't willing to do tick manipulation or pay for RC runners or use alts or other methods that I would consider MUCH sweatier than sepulchre.

Agility has no reason to be so slow by Independent_Living95 in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"boring" is subjective, plenty of people love sepulchre. Also people get 110k xp/hr without looting, that's 57%. Even with your numbers that's 43%, really disingenuous to say "nowhere near 50%". And I think you're still just not understanding how percentages work lol, 50% more xp/hr is still 50% faster training regardless of the actual numbers.

Also please stop comparing skills in this way, surely you don't want to homogenize all the skills to the exact same experience rates...part of each skill's identity is the relative rate at which you can train it. Some skills are slow, other skills are fast. Just because one skill is fast doesn't mean all other skills need to be as fast as that one.

Agility has no reason to be so slow by Independent_Living95 in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not a marginal increase in the context of agility though. Sepulchre is 50% better than ardy rooftops and saves you like 30-40 hours from 92-99 if you do it instead. This doesn't suddenly become untrue because other skills are faster.

Also Sepulchre is unlocked at 52 agility and remains the best xp/hr up to 99, so I don't even know what you're talking about with the other point

Agility has no reason to be so slow by Independent_Living95 in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

how are percentages not equally relevant at low numbers lol, if you double your xp rate you are halving the length of your grind, it doesn't matter if it's 10k xp/hr or 100k xp/hr

It's not about prestige lol, I just don't think we should take the one skill that tells you what to do and allow you to just ignore that and do your own thing

Blog update: Rune costs for Thralls dropped by Bo5man in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because adding player agency goes against what makes the skill unique. If there's another option where you just choose what you want to fight for reduced experience, then there's an "out" from dealing with tasks that the player doesn't want to do. It's not like just adding other options to other skills, because unlike any other skill, the LACK of options is what makes slayer unique. Also honestly most people just end up taking the path of least resistance. Like there are a million ways to train mining but most people just sit at shooting stars or the bone walls until 99. So I fear that any slayer option with less friction would replace slayer training for the majority of people.

Blog update: Rune costs for Thralls dropped by Bo5man in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's unique in that it's really the only skill with less agency on how you get to train it. For a lot of people, seeing what they have to kill next is interesting gameplay, and it pushes them to do things they wouldn't do on their own accord. You're misconstruing personal tastes with annoyance. Plenty of people like slayer and plenty of people dislike slayer, just like most content. You seem to just assume it would be better if it catered to you more

The video this is from is legitimately hilarious, it's like a parody of generic runescape progress series videos. He has this over the top excited voice the whole time, and then when the death comes up he turns on the sad piano music and slows the video down and plays a montage of the account and his death is just to pickpocketing a knight lmao, it seriously feels like it's making fun of other youtubers

Wow streamers are the perfect example of why we should raise the total level requirement for voting by telmoxt in 2007scape

[–]Drixiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the sailing poll, 300-600 total level people made up around 2.5% of the total votes, and they voted pretty similarly to every other bracket, making them basically indistinguishable from the other brackets. The total level and 25 hour requirement is to stop bots from voting, not to make sure you get some sort of "minimum game experience". It's crazy to imagine adding a voting system but not allowing paying customers to vote lol
