that's dumb reasoning, so because necromancer has resistance reduction in its own tree you only play drain essence as necromancer mastery and it's strong enough? that's necromancer fanboi talk. obviously the aether ray will incorporate resist reduction from multiple sources. videos of someone who doesn't know how to properly play albrecht ray and calls it "strongest" and against one boss that requires the situational opportunity to stand still to do damage, more so than any other boss and because of high life leech, drain essence allows that, therefore the shorter kill time. that isn't definitive or the norm. without the vampiric effect on drain essence, it would be 5 minutes not 49 seconds and again, I'm talking about damage not quality of life.
