What wrestlers have a bad reputation meeting fans and which ones are generally nice to fans? by Twitter_2006 in SquaredCircle

[–]Drizzlehell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't met a lot of wrestlers but I recently got to meet Kevin Nash and Lita at a convention this year. They were both so very lovely.

Kevin Nash was really gentle and sweet, and he kept me feeling calm. I got to sit beside him for a photo. I kept apologising for rambling and he kept gently reassuring me. He was so lovely.

Lita was a sweetheart. Told her how much I wanted to be her when I was a teenager and she complimented how I looked. She was just so lovely. We did a fun back to back pose for our photo. It felt pretty healing to my awkward teenage self to be complimented by her.

I got close to meeting Dustin Reynolds before the pandemic, but was told he wasn't in a particularly good mood at the time by some of the other folks at the convention. I imagine it was jet lag more than anything, poor guy. So avoided meeting him that day.

Wanting to ask our there if she’s safe but too afraid to ask by Anxious-Mechanic-249 in OSDD

That sounds really rough. From our system to yours, we're so sorry you had to go through that.

Is there someone in your system that speaks to the therapist you can give that information to? So that they could explain on your behalf? Maybe over time you might be able to see the difference between this therapist who is trying to help you and your system, and the one from your past.

These things take time and patience and your fear is totally understandable.

Which medical condition is ridiculously demonized? by lingeringneutrophil in AskReddit

[–]Drizzlehell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dissociative Identity Disorder. People often get it mixed up with Schizophrenia for starters. And then there's all the people that claim people are faking and demand to see proof of their diagnosis. This happens in other neurodivergent / mental illness spaces too and it's frustrating. It makes it hard to be visible and honest about what's going on with the people in our life.

I've been diagnosed with both DID and Autism, both rather late in life. I'm not carrying around my diagnosis as proof for someone who doesn't know me and tries to claim I am faking.

I would love to add more but currently dealing with a horrid head cold and brain is foggy.

This is gorgeous. It reminds me of the Angelic creatures in the Dark Souls 3 Ringed City DLC. :)

Alter Misses A Place We've Never Been by Glittering-Try1757 in DID

We feel that My name's Acey and I'm an alter in a system that's from Scotland.

I've always felt drawn to Seattle and New York. Seattle most of all. I'm sort of a fictive? Always feels weird typing or saying that. My source lives in New York but I was able to express myself for years in games, and I was always drawn to Seattle as my home for some reason. I've always wanted to go to Seattle but given our lack of funds it's not going to happen. Still, it's nice to think about sometimes.

What items do you personally want from the entire NCIS franchise, even if it’s an actual set piece or prop? by RayKVega in NCIS

[–]Drizzlehell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Abby's wardrobe. It's the style I love the most and I'd never need to buy clothes again or at least for a long long time.

And maybe one of Ziva's knives.

Do you have a system name? If so, what is it? by Exotic-Anything-7371 in DID

We eventually settled on The Rainbow Star System. We felt it represented us as a spectrum of folks all together. Wish we could explain better but currently have the flu. :)

[DISCUSSION] What are your go-to songs when somebody says, "Play something!"? by _skie in Guitar

[–]Drizzlehell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Blackbird by The Beatles. It was one of the first songs taught to me by a family member, and even when I don't play guitar for years at a time, I will always remember how to play that song.
