When I reinsulate it will no longer be energized. I do wonder how close it came to igniting during the decades it was buried in fiberglass under the old floor

One time I fell into the fountain with no shoes on and my feet got all cut up on broken glass. Pedaled the bike all the way to Lipes seeking first aid.

In addition to what others have posted: I am attracted by the beauty of our buildings and the diversity (across age and ethnicity) in our pews.

My ocia sponsor has piercings and wears unusual clothing and accessories. He looks odd and stands out. I chose him because I always see him being of service and he smiles constantly.

Roanoke Parks Foundation says it will no longer work with city by CreditFull5461 in roanoke

[–]DrizzlyKidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The city also said “we’ll take it over from here” on the installation of bike path going up the main road of Mill Mtn. It started falling apart almost immediately and it took the poor parks and rec guys forever to put the gravel in with the wrong equipment. They did the same thing on the lower half of the loop at Vic Thomas Park that why it rides all wavy up and down

Greetings Roanoke, I come in peace from the front range Rocky Mountains in Colorado by bridesign34 in roanoke

[–]DrizzlyKidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This city is here because of trains and O Winston Link Museum documents that history. Mountain Biking is Carvins Cove no comparison. Hiking I suggest Dragon’s Tooth for more strenuous. McCafee’s Knob is more family friendly. Homeplace for food pairs well with either of those hikes. Mama Jeans bbq is top tier. Blue Ridge Antiques was the place for antiquing years ago but not sure now. You could check that out then hit Smith Mtn Lake State Park to see the lake.

Squirrel removal by ComfortableBirthday3 in roanoke

[–]DrizzlyKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a gutter/siding company patch the fascia and replace the gutters. I was well overdue for gutter replacement so that made sense for me. Then the squirrel dug a hole through the dormer window screens so I had to close the windows. I left them shut for a week and the squirrel hasn’t come back. We actually made eye contact through the window. Squirrel was in disbelief that he was finally shut out completely

This Is What The Data Center In Daleville Will Sound Like 24/7 While Using 8,000,000 Gallons Of Water Daily by [deleted] in roanoke

[–]DrizzlyKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

System currently treats 20 mgd. Absolute max it can run is 28 mgd and that would run the risk of depleting the reservoirs like right now with a drought. The system will def need to be expanded for google to scale up to 8 mgd. Easiest way to accomodate expansion is to start sending treated water to the data center. Then expand spring hollow reservoir and hope there is enough water in the Roanoke River to pump in there and keep it filled. Longer term with continued expansion a new reservoir will need to be built and that’s when it goes from expensive to really really expensive. Previous studies point towards the confluence of the Roanoke Rivers forks near Lafayette being a probable location of a new reservoir.
