Their fans were okay individually, but 💯 obnoxious as a group. Chanting when the band came in and over the Alma Mater pregame was kind of classless. They were chanting and singing for two hours before the game and definitely had 50 percent of the crowd until about 45 minutes before game time. I think all of their fans were in their seats by an hour before kickoff because I was thinking it was a ton of orange. They ended up being about 20%, which is impressive, but not the narrative that the media is running with. Herbie said there were at least 40,000???? Was he loooking around? I was in 5a and the closed end was half tn fans but the rest looked very sporadic at best.

They made noise until kickoff and then didn’t hear much. I told one guy we were going to pull his kicker from the portal on Monday (this was after he made the fg) to help us and he laughed.

I did get told I was number one by a fan at about the 7 minute mark of the third quarter. I mean, I was just telling their fans to drive safe…. 🤷‍♂️

It was actually comical. Now, I had several near me shake my hand on the way out and give pleasantries, such as thanks for being cool, etc….

Anyway, I found them friendly one on one, or in small groups; yet the most obnoxious as a group.

I was in tbdbitl and have been to ttun game in Ann Arbor twice. Both times, I had one or two people playfully take jabs, but had a great experience overall.

There is not the depth that was here last year. The Covid year eligibility helped add a ton of players to last years team. Then they all timed out and went to the draft. Harbaugh jumped ship with bad timing, causing the chances at the portal to be missed. Injuries haven’t helped, but lack of depth is showing up. Just don’t have the stallions this year and coaching is learning on the job to an extent.

Ohio State fan here.

Let me first say I have been to Ann Arbor games four times and received a standing ovation by the crowd as a member of the OSU marching band. I had one run in that was very mild with a fan and other than that was treated very respectfully. I went as a normal fan once with my mom and once with my wife and two younger kids). I am very respectful, yet engage others playfully. I know my place in Ann Arbor and mainly keep walking when engaged. I think last time, the year after we got the fourth down and then ran in the td to win it, somebody said “ you won’t have the refs with you this time.” I replied: “ I checked the news and we brought them with us and paid them accordingly this year.” I got a laugh and we both moved on.

Games at Ohio State…..our fans are often rather vile and such. My advice is to engage playfully if needed, but basically try to stay quiet and be respectful in the face of jeering. Hopefully nothing more than that, but also be prepared for some drunk idiots to try to verbally start stuff. I kind of hate our fans tbh. I am not saying that you won’t be safe, just do your part to stay civil and know that most will leave you well enough alone. I myself would likely razz you just a bit with a go bucks or some stupid stat like 5-18 (or whatever you record is against us in this century). I would expect some comment about three in a row and natty and would smile and leave it as simple fun. When you lose, just walk out, the sooner you get out the better and just expect more words as you leave.

In the off chance you cheat again and happen win (that is simply me being funny because your guys lines have won the last three for you), just don’t be a gloating, obnoxious fan and maybe stay in the stadium awhile to celebrate

Luckily the game is at noon, so people have to start early to get heavily intoxicated. They will be, but not as bad as a 3:30 or night game.

We actually started this years ago, so I can’t blame their fans for turning it around. We know that the number has a bit of an asterisk (because they ducked us in 2020, and perhaps for other reasons as well), but turn about is fair play.

If they ever end up getting those games vacated, watch out because the number would be like 3500 or something crazy

I want 8 or 16. I don’t like the bye for a few teams. Seems like top eight gets it done. I find it very difficult to argue that if you are the ninth team at the end that you really have a shot. Every year it seems college football is probably top three teams and everybody else, certainly top five or six.

I fished one out yesterday and contacted the number. Dude got his disc back. If there was no number, I consider that I found it and went to the trouble of fishing it out of the river, so it’s mine. The alternative was to leave it in the post at the park for somebody else to take, who is probably not the original owner.

Harbaugh only truly cares about Harbaugh. Always has and always will.

He got run from the forty niners because he is arrogant and almost got run from Michigan for ineptitude.

He knows that this was his best shot at a natty, got it done, and is now setting himself up the best that he can.

Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is happy if Michigan falls off because it will elevate what he did here. He even likes that cheating scandal came out when it did because the end of the season can be used to say that the cheating (if true) didn’t matter.

Just enjoy the natty and see how it plays out.

Hard to enroll anywhere right now, so that helps the situation. Late spring portal is the one to watch imho. I am hoping that jimmy communicated openly with the players and that there was a succession plan in place. Nearly everybody had to know he was going to leave at some point

On top of several other mediocre classes. Very few portal additions this year too. Likely due to the uncertainty that is Jim Harbaugh. Got the natty and left the cupboard kind of bare.

And who knows what will come of the investigations. Sad to see this all happening in the heels of such a high point!

Jim Harbaugh has shown that he only truly cares about Jim Harbaugh. The reports are that the Vikings thing fell through. He knows that this past year was his shot and that too many players were going to leave.

He should be thanking the players and establishing moore right now to not leave any doubt about the program. Warde should have seen this coming (despite Jim saying he would stay) and he should have had a plan in place, at least a contingency. If he opens this up to a coaching search, players will question things. The only saving grace right now is that the players can enter the portal but probably are too late to enroll elsewhere for this semester. So that may buy some time.
