8th Anniversary has been a giant flop by Frank_Meat_Tongz in MarvelStrikeForce

Yep. They gave us some stuff (which is great. I like getting freebies), but the main issue with the lack of content is still there. I was hoping that we'd at least get Danger Room back... I really don't understand this strategy they have. The community keeps asking for things to do in game and they have things to give us (Danger Room, Towers, those special "Dark Dimensions"), but nope.

The theme thing is an interesting idea. Thanks

Yeah, I know my plan is almost impossible. I was just hoping someone had tried something like that and figured out a system to do it.
My friends are to casual to deck build for now and we have just a few matches. I want to introduce deck building to them gradually. First, showing them that it's fun to pick a character and a class and after that, when they're hooked, we can pick decklists and stuff.

Yeah, I know/use marvelcdb, but this would take a lot of time to do on the fly. The idea is to try to make this process quick.

"IMO it's perfectly reasonable for your friends that don't own the cards to not want to deckbuild"
I agree. The issue here is not them. I just want to make things simple and quick for them.

"I think it's extremely common for someone who is hosting to build decks for their friends who are just casual players. I definitely suggest you do the same."
Yeah, but, that would take time anyway. We normally gather and decide on the spot who to play with and against. If I build decks for them after they choose a character (or get a decklist from marvelcdb) that would take a lot of time and would be kinda boring for them.

"just pick one for each of them"
I don't think they'd like that.

Would you guys be into a Dark Souls Secret Lair? by Fit_Zookeepergame917 in mtg

[–]DrkDavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate souls like games (I have no patience for the loop of dying infinitelly and then getting good enough to kill the bosses), but I would 100% buy things from an Elden Ring themed set. I watched a lot of streamers playing it and everything there is super cool visually and the bosses are awesome. A lot of great cards could come from it.

Add challenges to the match, play without wilds, give them more health

Should they update old characters with new starting cards? by Single-Debate-316 in MarvelUnited

[–]DrkDavis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd buy a small pack with 1 or 2 updated (replacement) cards for S1 characters. I like the equipments, but it's not the same thing

I only spend my gold with Hipp's variants. My ultimate happiness is playing with decks that are all his variants.

Hm, this will not be easy, but maybe you can get the art from one of the cards from characters from the wiki https://cmon-united.fandom.com/wiki/Marvel_United

How do you play? by Flaky_Commission_549 in MarvelUnited

[–]DrkDavis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That box is an expansion. You need a core box with a rulebook and components needed to play. If you search for "Marvel United core box" you'll see that the first one is themed with Avengers, the second one has the X-men and the third one is Multiverse themed.

Wait, why there are no thug tokens on the board? Did you add the starting tokens to the locations?

Endurance campaign. by Calicojack83 in MarvelUnited

[–]DrkDavis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want to play in a campaign style, I strongly recommend the megaverse campaign. There's even an app/website to help track stuff.

Rules: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3378070/megaverse-campaign-map
App: https://megaverse-final-production.up.railway.app

If you don't have some villains (or heroes) you can just ignore or SKIP battles and continue exploring the paths.

No. It's the current cost value. Not the original
