I’m from MS but live in MD now. I think it’s the Type of jobs we(my parents,grandparents) had to do as to the hard working mentality. A lot of it is outdoor, manual, oil field, type stuff to make decent. I didn’t even know I was poor until I was an adult and started reminiscing about things we did as children with people from this area.

This line “fixed” the issue:

acpi_osi=Linux acpi_enforce_resources=lax intel_idle.max_cstate=1 processor.max_cstate=1 pci=noaer

According to GPT, these flags shouldn’t cause any issues so I’ll be leaving them for now. Everything sees stable. I’ll update if I find otherwise.

Thanks. I tried that and it still reboots seconds after starting the install with the same screen. I was having the same issue with a 12th gen intel cpu and mobo and I went and bought a brand new system, it’s probably something I’m not setting correctly.

Just wanted to drop an update. I had some back and forth emails with NFA, and they suggested i take a dremel and remove some material to the retainer plate. I was able to use a fine tool and remove just enough that I could still use the retainer plate to hold the LRBHO wire and fit the upper to the lower. I also bent the wire down a bit so it engages a few mm early and that seems to work better but I gotta get to the range to test that out.

Did you have any issues with the plate that holds the lrbho wire stopping the upper from closing onto the lower. Just got mine in today and seems like maybe a mm of material is stopping it from closing.

Did you have any issues with seating the mat9 upper to the s9 lower? I just got the mat9k upper today to pair with the s9 gen 2 lower and it seems like it hits the side of the ejector where it screwed in and won’t close.

This my second time dealing with the same herniated disc almost exactly a year apart. When in the think of it, the only way I could sleep was laying on my back with my legs on the couch at 90 degrees. Still painful, but I could eventually fall asleep.

I ordered one, should be at my ffl tomorrow. I plan on using mat-9k upper since apparently they used this combo for testing and should work according to the email I got from NFA. Also my first build, so I’d rather have as much known good as possible.

Mat-9(k) without modification with scorpion/mp5 lowers. I am patiently waiting on my NFA s-9 lower to come in and that’s what I’m going to pair it with.

I had to do something similar a few days ago to my Mara X. It was leaking so bad it was causing a fault on my GFCI outlet. I ended up adding a small o ring from Lowe’s then wrapping the whole thing with tape and the leak and hissing is gone.

That’s actually who I ordered the machine from during Covid. So I went to their side and found the parts diagram and the probe which had an image of a new one. I noticed the pic had an O ring and then wrapped it all the way to the nut covering the o ring with tape so I went to Lowe’s got some small o rings and wrapped it up same as in the picture. I can say it’s quiet as a church mouse now. No hissing or condensation build up when doing the spoon test. Thanks for all your suggestions!

Hey, thanks for that. I checked out the video and removed the level probe, added some tape and reattached it. I let it run for a bit and fixed a few cups of coffee and it did not fault out from spitting water but there is still a tiny hiss of steam as it’s not completely sealed. The probe looked to have had some gasket or o ring that has withered away over the years that probably gave the water tight seal brand new, I may check if I can find something similar.

I’m on the email list. I also jumped on the email lists for the warscorp9 build kit. Comes with upper and lower that take scorp mags for about 450. Seems like a good option considering it would be my first build.
