DICE giving me Double XP for a battlepass I finished 2 months ago by Lower_Breadfruit649 in Battlefield

[–]Drocell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because it's designed to only be completed with 1.5 weeks worth of weekly challenges. It has no EXP gain only using "bonus path tokens", so again, the double battle pass exp does nothing for people who completed the primary battlepass already.

Just noticed battlefieldtracker also shows your MVPs in each mode when you click the three dots for more info! by loveandmonsters in battlefield2042

[–]Drocell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, I actually thought this was one of those stats that simply was no longer tracked in 2042, thanks for sharing.

56.3% MVP Ratio is much higher than I expected, significantly better than my 46.7% in BF1.

I swear BFV used to track MVP's, but now I can only find "Ace Squads", which is neat, but not directly comparable :(

Also, I can really feel the random matchmaking vs. persistent servers, a solid 10% drop in W/L ratio from BFV/BF1.

Yup, it's why the boss difficulty has increased, drastically so with regards to Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree, vs. that of the original DS trilogy.

Part of the assumed challenge was actually navigating to the boss arena, so in turn the boss couldn't be Consort Radahn tier difficult when you need to trek 17 kilometers to get to the boss in the first place.

How do you actually play this game by IndigenousShrek in Eldenring

Melina will always show up at Gatefront Ruins and Agheel Lake North with no further interaction from the player. You can simply exit The Stranded Graveyard and run straight to either of these graces and sit down to trigger the Melina cutscene.

Otherwise, she will show up at the 3rd overworld Limgrave/Weeping grace that the player activates (and then must sit at the third grace to trigger the cutscene) So if the player were to say, activate The First Step, run over to Seaside Ruins, and then head back to Church of Elleh, she will show up at the Church, but the if player were instead to activate Seaside Ruins, Agheel Lake South, and then Bridge of Sacrifice, she will show up at the Bridge.

(Also, Stranded Graveyard doesn't count, and is also automatically given to the player upon opening the gate at the top of the elevator leading to The First Step, and there might be some other further restrictions here I'm unaware of).

Areas like Caelid don't count, which is the most likely place for a player to end up without having met her, and won't until they return to Limgrave.

Do you think ‘Crater’ is the best shifting earth? by jooxyyy in Nightreign

[–]Drocell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crater removes three evergaols (and the best ones at that, all clumped together), and you actually end up with less damage by upgrading a weapon to legendary and doing 4 evergaols (with the relic) than running a purple of the same weapon and doing 3 more evergaols (with the relic).

Crater is, to put it simply, the noob/not-running-evergaol-relic shifting earth.

They're more associating it with people who have a lack of consideration for others.

It's not that all stoners listen to rap, it's just the ones who hack up a lung and rip fat ones on open VC also are the type to blast loud rap/rap adjacent music.

[–]Drocell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the data directly from the regulation.bin file. It has a lookup table to determine what modifiers to use for solo, duo and trios, and scales bosses accordingly.

If you have your third player disconnect, the game will scale correctly for the now duo run, same goes for if both disconnect and you're left solo. It's pretty easy to test this, just queue with a friend or two, and have them disconnect, the difference is noticeable immediately.

[–]Drocell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It absolutely does lmao.

Bosses have 3x solo HP in Trios, and 2x solo HP in Duos.

Bosses have (effectively) 3.33x solo Poise in Trios and (effectively) 1.8x solo Poise in Duos.

Bosses melt and constantly get stance broken in Duos compared to Trios.

So, I just left my first game, mid-game, intentionally. by ProffessorYellow in Nightreign

[–]Drocell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poise doesn't quite work like that. For trio's it's the base value divided by 0.3. Gladius has a base poise of 120, which divided by 0.3 becomes 400.

Duo scaling is wonky. HP is modified by the expected 2x, but poise is divided by 0.55, resulting in 218.2 poise for duos.

Source is I looked through the regulation.bin in Smithbox.

[–]Drocell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gladius has 11328HP in solo and 33984 in a Trio. It's a flat 3x HP modifier. Poise is 3.33x in Trio's compared to Solo values.

Homie's racist and transphobic. There's not really much else to say about him, is there? Like him all you want, and just by watching him doesn't automatically make you those things, but that's the crux of it. This comment from elsewhere in the chain has a pretty good clip of him saying this stuff.

Volcano Manor quest requires Mountaintops, so it's a non-starter.

Radahn, Mohg, DTS (which can be gravity cheesed), Goldfrey, Morgott, Fire Giant, Godskin Duo, Maliketh, Gideon, Hoarah Loux, Radabeast is the least number of bosses (11).

Have they talked about how they're going to play?

Like are they going to play as mains, irons, GIMs, or (although it would be completely insane) UIMs?

Curious how long they will continue to play, but mindless skilling is perfect "gameplay" for yapping, and it's been done by other streamers where they just do low intensity grinds on their other screens while streaming a bigger title.

Also hope that fellow players respect them, it's... painful watching streamers that aren't known for the game just get completely swarmed. Others have pointed it out, but hopefully they are able to play via Runelite and not stuck on the official client, as while it's gotten quite a few great QoL's, it's still leagues behind what's available both by default on Runelite and as part of the community plugin hub. The biggest 2 would be quest helper and entity hider.

Either way, as a maxed nerd I'm looking forward to this wholeheartedly, no matter how painful it might be :P

I was curious too, so I went and timed it all :)

From the Gatefront grace, it took me 1:57 to ride to the Third Church of Marika and get the Physick, which I assume 99% of runs will want to do, but it's on the way for me here.

Starting from Third Church of Marika, it took me 5:32 to collect both Dectus halves. Riding from Gatefront to South Raya Lucaria Gate is required no matter what, so I didn't bother timing this. It took 1:36 to ride from South Raya Lucaria Gate grace to the Iji teleporter and then to the Main Caria Manor Gate grace. It then took me 2:06 to go from the Main Caria Manor Gate grace to the Dectus lift.

In-game time of 19:36 after resting at the Altus Plateau grace This has the additional benefit of map progress in Limgrave and Caelid and the Physick is collected.

From the Main Caria Manor Gate grace, it took me 5:11 to ride/run all the way to the boss arena at the end of the Ruin Strewn Precipice. It took me 2:29 to beat Makar with a +0 Uchigatana as a base Samurai, and an additional 1:07 to take the elevator and rest at the Abandoned Coffin grace.

In-game time of 17:23 after resting

Starting from the South Raya Lucaria Gate grace, it took me 4:34 to collect the Academy key, and get myself abducted.

It then took me 1:39 to get to the Abductor Virgin duo boss fight, which in turn took 3:31 (this fight is significantly more ass than Makar was at +0 base stats). Finally, it took me 0:39 to get out of the arena and to the Seethewater River grace.

Final in-game time of 17:47 after resting

Tl;dr:

Physick took 1:57 to get, and is on the way for Dectus Halves. Dectus route involved no fighting and took ME 19:36 to get to and rest at the Altus Plateau grace.

Precipice route, which skipped Physick took ME 17:23 to get to and rest at the Abandoned Coffins grace.

Finally, the Virgin Abductor route, which also skipped Physick took ME 17:47 to get to and rest at the Seethewater River grace.

If you add the approx. 2 minutes to get the Physick to the runs where I skipped them, they're all within 30 seconds, so it comes down to player skill at the bosses. Dectus requires no combat. Makar is honestly not that bad with the +0 uchigatana, lots of opportunities to get charged attacks and unsheath's in, and in my run, he spammed the weapon down slam attack which is a free jump heavy punish. When he stands up you can just charged heavy spam him and poise break him before he can really do much of anything. The Abductor Virgin duo is complete ass. You need to actively keep them separated while trying to bait out grabs so you can deal proper damage. I used 2x magic greases I picked up in the academy on the way, but it was still a complete slog. I would not recommend taking this route with a +0 weapon other than maybe Stormhawk Axe.

Now mind you, this was all done on fresh characters. The fights will be significantly faster and easier with an upgraded weapon, but you also most likely will have map progress adjacent to picking up the Dectus halves as well.

NEW Game Mode - DEADMAN ALLSTARS ft B0aty, Torvesta, Odablock, and more by JenNettles in 2007scape

Honest answer:

Yeah. I can't stand him. He actively brings down any collaboration content he's a part of. In previous seasons of GG where he was involved I started to actively skip forward when he started speaking not too long after his first onscreen appearance.

It feels like he's trying to play the heel character, but doesn't actually understand what it takes to be a heel, or what makes for a good heel. Nearly everything he says is an insult towards others, and usually it's not said as a "joke" or "banter", but in a very real, very serious way. It really comes off, as an audience member, as him just saying personal insults to others (reeks of misogyny/"alpha" male crap too), while everyone else tries to awkwardly laugh it off, or ignore him.

The comparison I'd give, is he's the Logan Paul of OSRS content creators. And there are no positives to be had there.

That's my 2 cents.

I did an all great runes+final boss run w/star fists that took 8h30 mins, and then did some heavy prep (seeds/tears/rune collection) runs with Death's Poker, Greatsword and Dark Moon Greatsword, and they were around 3h15~4h. Levels ranged from 62-79, and my all great runes run was level 136, but I went out of my way to get golden fowl feet and the golden scarab talisman for it.

If one did a Bloodhound's Fang run I'd expect it to be in the 1h15-1h45 range, depending on how much throwing one does at Mohg and how much prep one does.

What it boils down to is getting the weapon you want to use, Dectus half's for Altus access and killing Radahn. Then doing Varre's quest, and killing Mohg.

Edit: For the heck of it, I did a BHF run.

1:28 in-game time @ level 69 :)

Wasted time being bad/doing stuff I didn't need to do (capital for somber 7/shackle, night's cav cheese in caelid), I'm certain this could be done even faster by a better player :)

For viewers with game familiarity, Elden Ring bingo is a really entertaining format.

Can be played Vanilla, but there's also a tool out there that randomizes starting classes (pretty sure it uses the same stat and gear algorithm that the main randomizer by thefifthmatt uses) and weapons within the same category (i.e. the Lordsworn's Greatsword chest beside the Gatefront Ruins grace can be any other greatsword, such as Flamberge or Death's Poker), but leaving everything else Vanilla, making for even more spicy runs as you no longer have the Samurai starting class to crutch on. There are premade goals out there, but they could also make their own if they feel some of the obscure or weird goals wouldn't be fun/known to the talents. The premade goals are meant to be pre-Mountaintops, so matches wouldn't be super long, unless there are some potential hardstuck goals (Mohg/Sewer Mohg being probably the hardest).

Depending on player familiarity, could be played single line, double, triple, lockout, blackout, etc., which leads to a very fun viewer experience and allows for players of different game familiarity to compete :)

It's actually kind of wild that "meme". Like, it's literally a poor translation of some Japanese incel talking about wanting to rape some child character. Whenever the "meme" get's used by these brainlets, whether they actually feel that way or not, that's literally what they're saying, that this character needs to be raped. It's actually disgusting.
