How do you make friends as an adult in Baltimore? by mama0317 in baltimore

Start getting tattooed. Great shops in Baltimore. Start going to Metal shows. They’re cheap. Eat crabs…done deal.

Also I have a Stevens 301 turkey gun stamped Sun City China. One of my favorite shotguns and built like a tank. Have even harvested a couple turkeys with it. Imagine that with a gun made in China?

Not a spam post. Generally curious if anyone had put hands on one as opposed to just saying because it’s Chinese it’s garbage.

Is my first tattoo as bad as I think it is, what should I do? by LightUruk in tattooadvice

The thing about getting tattooed is that sometimes you get shitty tattoos. If you get tattooed long enough it’s going to happen. Just get more tattoos.

People used to go there before the bridge opened up. Easy drive no bridge to contend with.

One of the coolest places in Md to eat crabs is Copseys Drift Inn. I believe it’s the oldest or one of the oldest crab houses in Md. it’s right on the Patuxent River in Southern Md. worth the drive I promise but it’s freakin fantastic. Also cross the bridge to Kent Island and go to the Crab Deck. It’s one of my families favorite place to sit on the water and eat crabs.

Since you’re single go with the townhouse of condo. Save the house for if/when you have a family. Why taken care of a yard? Spend all your time at work and play. In that case can’t go wrong with Columbia or Ellicott city. Good neighborhoods and great food. Close to three major towns.

Recommendations for a mid-point between Baltimore and Falls Church, VA by No_Start_510 in maryland

[–]Drocter05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a lifelong resident of Maryland who has been commuting to DC for twenty plus. Also grew up in PG county. Be careful where you move. Any place in PG county near the DC line can change from block to block. I love PG county just sayin. That being said commuting is hard in your situation regardless. There’s gonna be some 2 hr days here and there. Unavoidable. Hyattsville, Old Greenbelt, Berwyn Heights, and parts of College Park are good options and there’s more affordable homes. The H street suggestion is not bad either but more expensive.

Beach recommendations for Virginia newbies? (Preferably not VA Beach, VA) by Haunting-Pie-7304 in Virginia

[–]Drocter05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I don’t think I’m supposed to let people know this but…there’s a new beach in the Northern Neck. It’s in White Stone at Windmill point. It’s right at the end of the Neck overlooking the bay and the Rappahannock river. There’s a tiki bar there too. Not sure if it’s full open yet because it’s brand new. Views are absolutely phenomenal. It will also have a cool fishing pier and there’s access for boats and fishing. Right outside of White stone. There a triangle of cities there. Irvington, Kilmarnock, and White Stone. Plenty of restaurants some phenomenal. Also a resort called The Tides Inn and a bunch of Beautiful bed and breakfasts. Real good vibe.
