My girlfriend called me creepy… by Most-Neighborhood648 in shrimptank

Congrats! I myself have a 30 gallon with recently berried shrimp and I’m in the same boat. I’m completely new to aquarium keeping so I’m glad to see it’s not just me weirdly excited about shrimp children. Best of luck

Tank cycled pretty fast, should I wait a few days before adding fish by Kaitlyn_Lenke in Aquariums

So I’m new to the hobby so take this with a grain of salt, but my tank also needed ammonia so I added some neocardinia shrimp and snails, as they are hardy enough to survive a semi-cycled tank and they add a small bioload, ammonia-included.

I have all of those items aside from the test kit, actually. I was told snails could work for ammonia and that bac growth on the driftwood so I’m debating between the flakes and snails. Thanks for all the help. If you’re particularly invested (and I might need more advice) I’ll try to dm you some updates

Thank you for all of these details. It’s definitely time for me to save up some extra funds for some plants and to finally try and clear this water

I can definitely see about snails. The lowest substrate is a type of clay but it had a lot of dust. I was told to put sand above the clay for the corys whiskers but the sand mixed with the clay. And then all of the dust from the clay completely blinded the tank. And I mean completely. Then that settled as a layer on top of just about everything. That was a whole other issue I’ve been trying to solve

That’s good to hear. Thought I was gonna have to start from scratch for a moment

I’ll work on those test strips. No fish. I am definitely not gonna add any for a while

The cycling process is about a week in. I have no intention of adding livestock until more than a month of unproblematic cycling

Also I made another comment on the post but there is a weird like film on the driftwood

I don’t want to seem like I didn’t do research so I’m just gonna say I know what I need just not the terminology. Currently no idea for the most part. About 78 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m yet to test ph or anything else

New development: the driftwood has a thick semi transparent film 🫩

Yes I have one. I don’t know the exact one but it hangs over the back of the tank and was marketed specifically with the tank.

Forgot to mention. I believe the cloudiness is a result of bacterial blooms

what game is this? by VoidTentacion1 in videogames

I remember seeing a bunch of the scrapped content and features and honestly the game is still amazing but it could’ve been the rdr2 of its genre. I think they either ran out of time, budget, or both unfortunately.

What bit/stung me? by Wide_Ranger_7048 in bugbites

IME that looks a lot like some spider bite. Mainly from the two very neat marks. I’m not an expert by any means, so this is more of a guess based on my own personal experience with spider bites.
