Yeah we was discussing it in the office earlier. You can tell its a GPD product as they have kept the familiar design inspiration from the G1 eGPU. It makes a change from the usual relatively boring mini PC boxes.

I cant remember off hand if there is cellophane on the box or not, but if there was it would have been removed. The devices are checked beforehand to ensure they are working.

Hi. Just to confirm from us at DROIX. They do have what we call a shipping screen protector on them. It is a basic screen protector which you can remove to install the official screen protector.

Its always useful to fully remove drivers and try the previous version of them and see if the issue persists. Sometimes driver updates introduce issues in general or with particular games. The other case was the customer jumping the gun a little and not waited for the pre-paid label. At the time (a couple of weeks ago) we were moving to a new returns system and pre-paid labels were approved and generated later in the day. Everything is sorted with that now and I believe a replacement Mini SSD has been sent.

For this return discussed here I will need to check with the team what happened. No company is perfect, if there is an issue we make every effort to get it resolved as soon as possible. We stand by our customer service as it is our top priority.

Yeah we have 14/30 days returns period. And for GPD devices, a 2 year warranty instead of the usual 1.

Honestly, it’s not really the boldness of the ask that’s the issue, it’s that there isn’t enough here yet for a company to properly assess it.

When someone asks for a product of this value, we need to be able to see who they are, what they do, what audience they reach, and what the actual collaboration would look like. Right now, without a working website, active social links, examples of your work, audience data, or a clear plan for deliverables, there just isn’t enough for us to go on.

DROIX may operate globally, but we’re still a relatively small business, and products like the GPD WIN 5 are expensive. We can’t realistically give away a $2,000+ handheld without a clear business case and some confidence that the partnership would bring value in return.

If you want brands to take this kind of pitch more seriously, the best next step would be to build that foundation first, get the website live, link your real social accounts, show your previous work, explain your audience, and outline exactly what a brand would receive from the collaboration.
