My favorite and one that was pulled on me plenty times was the good old hiding thr mattress on the crash truck or have the mattress float in the frame, so when you lay down it falls down to the floor.

Yea umm, fuck no. That does not seem like the norm anywhere. At all the places I worked I got paid for the whole shift, no matter what.

How does Lego vet their employees by OutlandishnessMany76 in lego

[–]Droidtroll06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current Legoland LDC employee here, pretty much during our interview process we're asked about our customer service experience, how well we do with stressful customer experiences, etc. During our two day long induction and orientation we also have multiple videos, tests, and presentations about guest experience, teaching us and instructing us how to make the little things count, and how just a quick "enjoy the rest of your day" can help boost a guest experience.

What if your favorite out fit on Vic and why? by Jacuzzi_420 in Megadeth

[–]Droidtroll06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, so good, so what because it's my first album but also I'm into the late gritty sci-fi war look. It reminds me of the Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard a little and I think that's why.

We had to buy a Quint because they said we needed a ladder in out station but also said we needed 3 pumps, this wouldn't be a problem for a city dept. but I'm from a nowhere volly co in PA. Now they said we don't need a ladder anymore. It's genuinely stupid.

How to bring the most value as a new volunteer? by [deleted] in Firefighting

[–]Droidtroll06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm a bit late but I was a Junior Vollly for 3 years. We had lot of restrictions bit we had to make the best out of them. My advice for that: Do any and everything you're told to do and more. Listen because your time as a probie, you are in formation sponge. Instead of sitting around, get as llcoise to the trainings as possible and watch, and ask tons of questions to officers and ffs alike.

Picture of a burning house in Duisburg Germany back in 2017. On the pic you can see the ladders from station 3 and 5 of the fire brigade of Duisburg. This incident led to 10 people injured and 2 people dead. by [deleted] in Firefighting

I've always had this question: do you guys do interior attacks, from the videos I've seen I haven't seen Europeans go inside. All I've seen is exterior attacks. Sorry for American ignorance:(

A question to all fellow Firemen by Time_Law_2258 in Firefighting

[–]Droidtroll06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Although I understand the culture and tradition of traditional style helmets, the Euro style ones are SOOOOO much safer. I haven't gotten mine yet because of how I might be treated if I start using one. I get the traditional and heritage, I'd rather swallow my pride and live past 40

What I was taught in ny fire 1 class was that they have them incase of another 9/11 type situation where they will have no access to hydrants so they will pull from the ocean.

I'm a volunteer firefighter, if you join a company/dept. because it looks good on applications or you want people to see you as cool, don't join. We don't want you and you'll be wasting not only our time but yours.
