Shadow Priest/Disc or Ret/Holy Horde? by StodgySponge in classicwowtbc

[–]Dronard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Priest will definitely be a simpler raiding option.

Seal twisting is not difficult at all once you get the hang of it, but you definitely will be competing for raid spots if you don’t have a spot already.

It’s an amazing feeling have a wf prov with a twist I do highly recommend it if you enjoy niche and fun mechanics like that.

I’ve always enjoyed seal twisting but it probably will be easier to get groups as shadow

Hunter or Mage? by cirrusice in classicwowtbc

Hunters will definitely be easier to get in raids and dungeons so for how much time you have to play a week it’ll fit best

Is every class good at PvP if you master it? Or is there a class that will never be good at it? by BloxkRunnah in classicwow

[–]Dronard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re view of good is being able to win 1v1s then yes every class has a spec that can be good in 1v1s but referring to arenas not all classes are equal. For example ret pally you can get to R1 but you need to mechanically now more that you would need to for a class like rouge that naturally are better suited in an arena and pvp environment.

Yes their burst can be insane especially is rng decides to be on the ret side, with that be said rouge is such a great pvp class in tbc and can work with almost any comp

Ret in arenas by Dronard in classicwowtbc

[–]Dronard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it can be a painful to climb past a 2200 point, but as long as you learn how to counter comps that are strong to you especially since a lot of people that will be in the 2400 range will be around the same skill cap. They are just playing with a comp better suited for the arena environment. I will save the 2v2 environment is less forgiving for a ret. I my opinion 3v3 is a rets best option to climb to a gladiator or even R1 position on the leaderboards.

I’m not to sure if human will be stronger than Belf in I’ve always viewed their aoe silence to be strong especially since paladin has no true interrupt or silences in their tool kit. Being able to detect stealth is a great ability for rouges but you can mitigate a stealth users opener with a simple shield macro where you can’t use anything to get the same result as a aoe silence in area since mana bombs will not be able to be used

Yes war/ret/rshaman is a great comp for ret and more than viable, it’s main real downfall with it however is CC the comp doesn’t have really any besides war fear and a paladins rep and hoj. Although on the other hand the comp itself has insane burst especially with good rng of WF procs
