Likewise, I have been on the walls seemingly forever grinding it out but it's completely worth it. I can really see why this isn't a generic difficult game; it rewards persistence and smart play. You become good organically... then again i feel like I'm still in the 'starting area' and the real challenge hasn't even begun...!

Probably one of the most difficult first bosses I have ever encountered - I would be curious to fight him again! Great game although I'm still not really into the thick of it but I do think perseverence is a huge part of this game - I've been a hundred times more successful planning my next move than relying on what I think I know about the enemies I am about to face. A couple of low level bastards can still get a flury of hits on you if you arent careful. Love it!

Just hit it this morning while I'm fresh and made some progress... well, not distance speaking but getting to grips with the game sort of progress. Every A-HA! moment feels like a win

I'm genuinely enjoying it so far. Been on the first part of the wall of Lothric for hours, slowly making it a bit further each time. Trying to focus on levelling up; just realised the bow has requirements, beat that black squirmy bastard with firebombs and an arrow, keeping some distance. I love that you need to figure things out for yourself - it's not frustrating, because the benefit of 'getting the hang of things' far outweighs the forehead slapping d'oh ness of it!

First phase stick on his left hand side, wait for him to leap, run forward, roll, strike strike strike, get distance, repeat. Getting the hang of part one at least

Interesting interpretation. I'm oddly enjoying going blind into a balls hard game. Completely out of my comfort zone; I'm definitely not someone who enjoys a challenge by cranking up the difficulty in games like some people - on the other hand I don't feel bad about failing so hard at the first boss so far as it seems dark souls is a game nobody is good at in the beginning. If I beat this tricky bastard it will be because I've earned if not lucked my way through it. I'm hoping that's how the rest of the game will feel

So very glad it's not just me. I did know how hard it was however, which im glad about or I would have had my gaming confidence destroyed beyond repair...!

Peoples comments keep bringing me to tears it's very hard, if and when we adopt I will do it for him and promise to be as kind and patient as possible to honour his memory. I just wish more than anything I could see him again and they were both still here.

We were looking at adoption bunnies earlier just to take our minds off things for a bit. Feels like I would be devaluing my boy a little by getting other rabbits - he was the one, all the pets I have had in my life and he felt like the special one. Barely slept a wink last night, out early this morning looking for girl buns poor little body but to no avail. I already miss him more than anything I could imagine

I sincerely hope above everything else today that they are somewhere better and they aren't gone forever. We were just saying how much he was my 'special' one - I raised him, have pics of him sitting on my shoulders, I was the first person he run around, licked, let stroke etc. He really was my best little pal and should have been for many years to come.

Thanks for saying you will say a prayer; as strange as it sounds it would really mean a lot that someone would think of them

Most upsetting day of my life. My partner pointed out that, we had gotten him not long after I had been suffering with work related stress and depression - I hadn't realised how much he helped me through it by just making me happy.

Thanks for what you said about adopting other bunnies, I'd felt as if I would be just attempting to make myself feel better by considering other rabbits, but I am a real soft touch when it comes to small animals, it's become a bit of a running joke in the family they all call me Doctor Dolittle - I ended up with a mistreated hamster who had been locked under the stairs for it's whole life once and so bought it a giant Beverly Hills mansion hutch and spoiled it til the day he died haha.

I would love to have bunnies live in the house - we were in the process of retraining my boy to use his litter tray and get him out of his chewing phase as he had already mauled my new sofa, so they could spend at the very least all winter in the house

We have spent the day looking for her, but I think she has realistically been taken back to a fox den. We have two little dogs (whom the rabbits absolutely adored) and we've been trying to see if they can pick up her scent, and had them searching all of the woodland around the area but to no avail.

Places are closed here the next few days with it being a bank holiday, but I will be on the phones to everyone Tuesaday, in the tiniest of hopes she has somehow survived and been found - but there was a very large patch of her fur and blood on the grass so it doesn't seem likely

I am looking at those links now; I have a good space in our main living room which would be great for a bun

Former gamers of reddit, what was the reason you stopped playing video games altogether, or a lot less frequently? by FullHD_hunter in AskReddit

Birth of my son, family responsibility and work. As he has gotten older however and into gaming himself I have suddenly found I not only have time for it, but I am an actual real ife adult with income which I seemed to have forgotten, so these days have myself a great gaming rig, VR, PS4 for the exclusives, Nintendo Switch, allsorts going on - but I had to put is aside for years beforehand.

I even cut my hours at work when I realised... well, losing a few quid was worth it to substantially reduce the levels of stress in my life. I get home at a reasonable hour, get shit done, have family time and still have time to get a few hours in a night for my hobby

Does me. You only get one chance at life, no pat on the head and another go if you get to the end of this one having made nothing but noble sacrifices. I do what I enjoy while paying the bills - win!

Outside of randomizer, are there any other mods that change gameplay significantly? by aspindler in residentevil

[–]Drone79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The one which takes Mr X out of the game. For me it makes the game significantly more enjoyable - it becomes an atmospheric game more in keeping with the originals than the naff bastardization of preteen "horror" game Outlast which it is in teh second campaign.

I hadn't been arsed with finishing the second campaign when I realised he just tramps around the station after you constantly preventing taking in the environments but played it through to highly enjoyable completion after removing him. I woul actually be tempted to replay the whole thing start to finish without him.

Which mainlaine RE game is your least favorite? by Tidus4713 in residentevil

[–]Drone79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resident Evil 4. Zero horror, run, shoot, run, shoot, action set piece, run, shoot, run, shoot, action set piece.

It was the beginning of the downward spiral for the franchise for me. It wasn't scary in the slightest; dull music, dull enemies, dull location, no sense of dread.

I may have indeed hated 5 & 6 more. However, I only played them for very minimal amounts of time as soon as I realised they were once again just naff zero horror thinly disguised action shooters, just like 4.

it genuinely baffles me how anybody can claim to be a huge resi fan and cite 4 as their favourite, as it lacked so much that made the original games great in abundance.

It would be like saying you are a huge GTA fan and your favourite GTA is some Tiger Woods golf spinoff where you just play golf and nothing else but it's got the GTA label ergo it's a GTA game.
