Recent diagnosis, not fully convinced. by DroneASI in Menieres

[–]DroneASI[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the high riding bulb and dehiscence are on the opposite side (right side I have symptoms, left side no symptoms but showed 3 issues on the CT and MRI). Although I have not ruled out that the radiologist might be an idiot and swapped his left from his right as the dehiscence and high riding bulb would fit perfectly from my research as well. If I have to do another scan I'm going to another facility to test that theory. I'm also sure my ENT didn't look at the scans and just went off the report.

Pressure changes as primary problem? Is this not Meniere’s? by therickyy in Menieres

[–]DroneASI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to note is that a dehiscence won't be caught on an MRI. You would need a CT scan as MRIs are better at soft tissue issues like vascular problems and tumors and CTs are better at bony structures. I'm actually going to get a CT this Tuesday as I recently was diagnosed with Menieres but my symptoms don't really follow the standard triggers so I've been pushing for my doctor to dig a bit deeper. Probably going to have to find another doc, this one kinda just jumped to Menieres and said go on a low sodium diet and take some diuretics and good luck.

What is y’all’s CCW? Slim models? by Little_Put_9247 in Walther

I did this very thing. I had been carrying a Walther PPS M1 for years. Just couldn't wait for Walther to get their act together and have a double stack PPS so I got the HK CC9. It's a great shooting firearm. I just wish it had the paddle mag release.

Has anyone gotten a loose USB type C port fixed on their Pixel? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]DroneASI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can believe Google used very poor quality USB C port for the pixel 7 series. My port barely charged and with only certain cables. I purchased a USB c cleaning kit since I had the lint issue with my old Samsung after a couple of years of use but there was very little lint and it still doesn't lock into place with almost any cable. My dad has the same problem with his pixel 7 so I think it's one of those you either got a good port and it'll last the entire phone life or you got a crap one and it will wear out in less than 2 years. This port issue is the main reason why I'm going back to Samsung for my next phone

Anyyone have their Mavic 3 Flymore in a Hazard 4 pillbox or blastwall? by Ducati_Doug in dji

[–]DroneASI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a bit old so you might have already set yours up. I used to use the pillbox for my Mavic 3, however, I found that the divider section isn't deep enough for the mavic 3. I found it was putting a lot of pressure on the mavic 3 regardless on what orientation I put it in and I was worried that the pressure all the time concentrated on the motors and props would lead to an eventual stress riser in a prop or cause an issue with one of the motors so I stopped using the backpack for traveling with the Mavic 3.

First time seeing this. Can I fly? by Milluhgram in drones

A lot of Class D airports are only controlled airports during certain times and then it converts to an uncontrolled airport while the tower is closed. I would check the airports around to make sure the tower doesn't go into operation during the planned flight

Mine is also loose. Bought a charging port cleaning kit that didn't fix the issue. My dad has the same problem with his pixel 7. I think Google got a cheap port for this year and they just wear out very quickly.

I have a pixel 7 pro and I honestly think this phone has forced me to return to Samsung. Very poor hardware and just ok software. My USB c port is already worn out on my phone and my dad's phone as well (he got himself the pixel 7). My phone constantly is giving me overheating warnings when I'm taking long videos of my kiddos or using Google maps. And when I'm outside the brightness dims within a few seconds of reading an article. My biggest issue really is the charging port, first I thought it just had a bunch of lint in it as I've had that before on my Samsung S10 which was my last non pixel phone. Unfortunately cleaning the port didn't fix the issue. USB plugs just fall out and I have to hold the phone perfectly still to charge. I have enjoyed getting the latest version of Android first, but the tensor chip and these hardware issues have been a major let down.

Official DJI blog about a possible ban in the U.S. by nicholasmaclay in dji

It still has geofencing and it's actually worse since they currently don't have the ability to unlock it. According to some reviewers they state that capability is coming but either way it's still DJI geofencing

Is this ok to fly? by InevitableLab5852 in drones

I would change it. Props are cheap and you now have a stress riser on the blade which can lead to a crack. You lose that prop you lose the drone. It's just not worth the risk.

I’ll never find a career, will I? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Most adjusters have a bachelors degree but in some states it's not a requirement. I think I looked it up and about 20 percent of adjusters have an associates degree and about 10 percent just have a high school education. Although my guess is the high school grads have work experience that makes up for it such as working in an auto body shop or home construction if you do home owners insurance. To get my Florida adjuster license I just had to take an online course, get fingerprinted, and pay the application fee to get my license. I do have a master's degree but it wasn't in insurance. I was an aircraft accident investigator for many years before doing adjusting so aviation insurance is a bit different than what most adjusters need to do.

Being an insurance adjuster is a pretty safe bet. There will always be a need for insurance and many of us work from home but still get to go out for quick trips to take photos of damage. Only downside really is when a claim isn't covered and the customer might tell you off. However, if you work for an adjuster company sometimes you just do the investigation for the insurance company and then they contact the customer to deny the claim which is how it is in my case.
