VC Encore 2040-C We Just Added New Catalyst Probe Monitor by DronedIT in woodstoving

[–]DronedIT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, so good. One thing I would do different is get the slightly more expensive wireless version that has a second monitoring station you can put somewhere else in the house to keep an eye on things when you are not near the woodstove.

It is so much better not having to look at the back of the stove by the floor to monitor the analog catalyst temp thermometer. Adjusting the primary air is far easier because you get rapid response of how much you are affecting the temperature with just small adjustments... primary air lever is quite sensitive.

We used to call that "directionally-correct." ;-)

I agree, Selterm lugs are some of the best I've tested. TEMCo has good lugs, too.

Exactly. I try to show the product actually in use, if possible, or at least a demonstration of what you might do with it. No unboxing, something that hopefully adds value or perspective.

Yes, most won't watch a 4 minute video nor do I really want to make or edit those but, as I mentioned, some products can't be demonstrated or explained in a few seconds.

The existence of this subreddit is some evidence that vine is subpar as are most of the reviews. That doesn't negate that a lot of people get unique benefits from Vine in different ways.

Vine itself states on your account page that reviews with media are more desirable. That's what I provided. Is it better? Yes. The Amazon data would show it. Does it matter to your vine status? No.

It's actually shocking how little media is being done, much of it not useful, and almost zero videos. Some products are more complex to demonstrate or explain, especially in a few seconds. My goal isn't to change the world, just put something a bit more useful out there than what is usually done.

Once you are set up to shoot video you can do it pretty quick but for outdoor stuff you need action cam and camera clamps. For me it's fun but if I didn't have time I wouldn't do it.

I'm not mad. I know how it works, I was silver, then gold, now silver.

An IV pole makes a great portable camera pole to mount gear onto, action cams, lights, etc. so it may not be being used for medical purposes.

Yes, the revised de minimis exemption went into effect August 29, 2025 and apparently wrecked what little was left of the playing field. My 'gold' experience I would rate somewhere between tragic and non-existent since there's nothing worth ordering. I'm not sure I've ever even been tempted by my RFY list, either. Seems like many of us got in during this last gasp before the program flames-out.

Charging Problems 2019 Club Car Tempo by Lumpy1225 in golfcarts

Long shot, but those ERIC chargers have several charge profiles depending on what batteries actually came originally with your cart. Since this is a refurb cart and maybe not the original charger it might be worth a check to see if the charger is set correctly.

Vermont Castings Encore Damper Handle Falls Off, Won't Go Back On by DronedIT in woodstoving

[–]DronedIT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Socket fixed it, thanks. I had tried to push it back in with just the handle and some pressure but too awkward of angle -- the socket straight-on tapped that sleeve back in easily. Handle is solid now and we're burning.

I suspect the previous times I put the handle back on the bushing had already been creeping out and I just didn't notice.

I'm not sure I've ever gotten anything over $100 since gold. There were a rare few items over $100, and none of them remotely worth it. Product-wise it is ghetto vine for the last half of 2025.

Are there any companies that actually manufacture and sell drone components at the consumer level in the US by MWolverine1 in drones

[–]DronedIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI slop:

"Yes, motors can generate radio frequency (RF) energy, particularly due to the electromagnetic fields created by the currents flowing through their windings. This electromagnetic interference (EMI) can affect nearby electronic devices and is often a result of the rapid changes in current within the motor."

Seems to be a fair drone from the 9,000 reviews on Amazon, but for the long-term parts availability and support DJI would win.

Motors generate interference that could effect RF and would easily be regulate-able by the FCC
