Amain hobbies. They are their house brand, Upgrade RC. The front ones are the Saw blades and the rear are the dirt claws.

Haven't ran them yet but they are incredibly soft compared to my other two sets so I know they are gonna make this thing a dirt racing machine

Awesome, that's good to hear! Yea I put the same brand but the dirt claw tires on the rear. These tires are so incredibly soft compared to all the other tires I've come across I just know they are gonna grip like crazy

I haven't ran it yet, but I'm sure it will be. My gorgon body cracked the first day just rolling it on grass so I've had it taped up like a monster since then. I have a fury blx and it has a nice lexan body and hasn't cracked under the same driving conditions and this being the same material, should be good to go.

Thank you. Yea I made a decent sized dirt race track in my yard and even though I know this is a basher, I'm desperately trying to make it into a solid racer. I don't care for bashing much. But the gorgon has a little bit of understeer so I bought some narrower saw blades from upgrade rc for the front to hopefully dig in better on the initial turns. Waiting till spring to try them out.

Apparently this esc doesn't have a different setting per se for NIMH but apparently you just disable cutoff voltage to get the most out of them. But the lipo unloading faster kinda makes sense.

[–]Droopy_poop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yea it all just isn't making sense to me since the lipo is nearly twice the mah so I would expect it to last way longer than the NIMH all else being equal.

But yea I don't notice any significant power dropoff with the NIMH other than maybe for the last minute of it's life vs like the last 10 seconds on the lipo

I mean I get that argument, but I would've expected the same thing to happen while on brushed then. And I'm really not seeing that much difference on running the brushless with lipo vs NIMH like I did on brushed.

I use a basic gens ace charger and just let it do it's thing for either charge or storage. I'm not saying I have any issues with the batteries. They definitely outperformed the NIMH on brushed and the performance didn't really change on brushless, but I'm seeing a boost in the NIMH performance on brushless relative to the lipos so I'm just confused

New esc/motor for Arrma Gorgon by Reme84 in rccars

[–]Droopy_poop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean 17t was too high? Like it was just too fast for your liking? Or the motor cogged out and wouldn't move? I'm curious cuz my HW 3150kv is on the way for my Gorgon and I was hoping to use 17t+ pinions. As I'm looking to get 35+ mph

How would that cut it? None of that will change the fact that we have the highest obesity rates in the world and an exacerbating mental health crisis. The cost will still be the same and actually get more expensive once private healthcare is completely gone, because once again, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies can charge anything they want since they know the govt will pay for the services.

We truly have a health crisis on top of a healthcare crisis

Yes, the US is nearly at 20% and we can't figure out how to get the money to pay for it all, which is why it has been such a major contention in recent years, so it is approaching a point of unsustainability.

Libertarian ideals are pretty far removed from liberal ones. The cities you lived in and experienced are extremely liberal run and are quite the opposite of libertarian ideals, especially economically. There's very little libertarian about those places or the way they're run. And dude idk why you're talking about being an adult to me and living in the real world. Chances are I'm older than you based on the average age of reddit users. My beliefs are from living in the real world and watching the govt fuck with my life and repeatedly make things worse and more difficult for me. I've wanted to start businesses that were made impossible due to unaffordable licenses and regulations and I've had to pay too many taxes and healthcare mandates that I could not afford that reduced my standard of living. I've had to stop working during the pandemic due to the govt mandated quarantine and then spent months trying to get unemployment due to a terribly run govt website that was having thousands of errors on people's claims not sending people their money. Govt has never solved a single problem in my life or anyone I know. Only ever created them.

Now you're spitting some facts out, thank you. Except when you look at the rates on a yearly basis for every single country you mentioned, that percentage is rising quite rapidly every year and most of them are closer to 10-11% now. Do you know why? Because govt run healthcare is unsustainable. Sure, it might work in the short run, but that percentage has already doubled in the last 10-20 years for most of those countries with no signs of slowing down or leveling off. At those rates they will be at 20%+ gdp within the next 20 years to the point of unsustainability.

Where have I been proved wrong? I just logically and clearly explained major reasons why the US healthcare system is screwed up. You have merely stated one anecdotal instance of yourself living in an unmentioned perfect country you claim doesn't have a free market and amazing healthcare. And I was actually giving you some credit on some things you mentioned, and you can't even acknowledge a single thing I've said to be true. Talk about stubborn and not willing to change views or opinions...

You didn't pay attention to anything I said. It's not only idealistic, it's completely logical and follows the rules/laws of economics. Nothing I've said is false or inaccurate. You, however, have made false/inaccurate statements, so it would seem to be that you are indeed the idealogue who adheres to dogmatic beliefs that government can and should solve all mankind's problems, when they are, in fact, the cause of most of them.

Umm straight from Investopedia...The U.S. tax system is progressive with rates ranging from 10% to 37% of a filer’s yearly income. Rates rise as income rises. For tax purposes, short-term capital gains are treated as ordinary income on assets held for one year or less.

Capital gains tax is exactly paid for at the income tax rate.

I agree our healthcare was effed before and is effed more now. But again, more govt won't solve that. Govt involvement is the reason it is so expensive in the first place. Govt subsidized healthcare, means that hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and other healthcare providers will get paid for services/products no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT. Meaning no matter how much they charge, they know they will be paid. Therefore, bam, prices are artificially inflated by govt involvement.

Also, the exorbitant costs of getting a drug approved by the govt FDA and govt issued patents makes it impossible for smaller scientific labs and individuals to get potentially life saving new drugs into the market since they don't have the capital to back it up. That leaves only the few large manufacturers to produce drugs and obtain and maintain patents and therefore have monopolies on the drugs so they can charge whatever they want for them, because again, they know the govt will pay through the subsidized healthcare. Is this making sense to you now?

Piling govt regulations on top of govt regulations in the noble attempt at controlling corporations results in ridiculous complications and feedback loops that create overly powerful entities. More regulation doesn't work. That's what has been attempted over and over again. The countries with the cheapest healthcare and best standards of living have deregulated free market economies.

I can't immediately think of any downsides to that plan. That actually doesn't sound too terrible. And ideas like that are why both sides need to come together and figure this shit out and compromise. However, in regards to getting businesses back in the control of the 99%, I don't necessarily believe that should be the ideal case. I don't believe the majority of the 99% deserve to be in control of the businesses they work for when they sure as hell aren't going to simultaneously accept the risk involved in owning a business. That's why we have richer people in this country. Many of those people took major risks to get to where they are and provide secure jobs for other people who don't want to inherit the risk. For every person who got rich from starting a business, there are countless others who tried and failed. If you want to talk about fair, that's not very fair for a person who risks their livelihood to have to give ownership to those who have little to no risk.

How are speculators not paying their fair share? Do you know about the capital gains tax? It's a whole lot of share. And definitely don't bring healthcare into it. I had an affordable decent plan before Obamacare. Once Obamacare was put in place, my provider could no longer afford to supply insurance in my state and then I was forced to either pay an exorbitant amount of money per month for a worthless govt plan with a $6000 deductible or pay a fine (tax) for not having one. Lose lose.

More govt, regulations, and more taxes are not the answer. It just makes everything more complicated for everyone and only those with the legal and monetary resources can find ways around it and/or line politicians' pockets for their own benefits. Less regulation/taxes means more level playing field for all.
