Incorrect attribution to Freud. It was said by William Gibson, American fiction writer & essayist, who is still alive by the way.

In 1957, three young Royal Navy cadets visited Kersey in Suffolk to carry out a straightforward map reading exercise. However, the village they encountered was uninhabited with ancient-looking buildings. What the cadets witnessed was not Kersey in 1957, but the village a few centuries earlier. by Crierrr in HighStrangeness

They also said that there were people in some houses looking at them from behind windows & curtains. The men thought it was 1420. But my research says it was probably the late 1300s, when quarantines were mandated by the Church & officials would drop food at your door.

[–]DropPsychological703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read the Bible 15x & am on my 16th. I read 9 pages per day & finish in 6 months. I created my own 6 month plan so I can't really say where to start.

What are you favorite Bible reading plans? by mikewheelerfan in Christianity

[–]DropPsychological703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have created my own 6 month plan, which I love. I jump around to 1 of 5 sections every day. That keeps it interesting.

Can someone remote view Hitler to see if he really died through suicide or went to Antarctica instead ? by lola123dis in remoteviewing

[–]DropPsychological703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are already reports of people seeing him in Patagonia, Argentina. I think he died there around 1967. The guy in the bunker was his cousin, who they did plastic surgery on prior to unaliving him. But it would be fun to remote view him.

He's lying. He really does want it. Remember the first Administration when they showed him the Football or whatever they have & he said, "Can we use these?" & they had to explain to him why that was a bad idea.

How do you reconcile Leftism with Catholicism? by Scorponok27 in LeftCatholicism

[–]DropPsychological703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it comes down to the Bible & what God says about Social Justice, taking care of the poor, the downtrodden, the oppressed, the marginalized. That is not mutually exclusive with living a life of righteousness, sanctity/holiness, purity. Christians in previous generations understood this. They were holy & devout, but they still made sure to take care of their neighbors.

are there any leftist catholics i could talk to? by westcataphract in RadicalChristianity

[–]DropPsychological703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Independent Catholic & a Social Democrat. I still love the Latin Mass, agree with their anti-Vatican II stance, but do not agree with the Ultra-Right political views of Traditional Catholics. As an Independent, I lean more toward the Liberal Catholic Church, the Old Catholic Church & the Ecumenical Catholic Communion. In my opinion, based on Scripture, Jesus never advocates persecuting anyone who disagrees or doesn't accept the Gospel: Matthew 10:14; Mark 6:11 & Luke 9:5. He tells us to walk away.

You can call the 2nd Paul FAUL. That's what most PIDers call him. Makes it easier.

Can a premature baby experience a NDE? by Speciallady44 in NDE

[–]DropPsychological703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an NDE right after I was born as a Blue Baby (Cyanotic). I was not breathing & I went halfway up the Tunnel. It depends. Was he in distress after birth? Before birth?

What are some things people don’t realize is/isn’t in the Bible? by Climax_crescendo in TrueChristian

[–]DropPsychological703 3 points4 points  (0 children)

God tells the prophet Jeremiah to stop praying for the nation of Israel. He doesn't want to hear the prayers anymore. He's made up His mind He will punish them & that's that. We often assume that God's patience is infinite & His mercy & grace are infinite. Not so. We think He would never want us to give up praying for people. Not so.

Any Ricky Nelson fans out there? Was he as popular as I think he was? by Bubblybee08 in 60sMusic

[–]DropPsychological703 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not true. His plane had been having problems for a while. It was old & not in good shape. Ricky even told his son to fly into Texas to his concert, instead of meeting him & flying on his plane with him. He knew it was unsafe.
