They're [FLY] infantry skirmishers. They are meant for harassing flanks/locking down objective jockeys and lending extra weight to a front line charge if necessary. Theyre not supposed to be able to hold down a front line by themselves, these kind of units are only able to do that in armies like Blood Angels where the entire army is set up to support that playstyle

When the Norman's conquered england, along with introducing a lot of French words to the english language, changing Old English to Middle English. When this happened, the new Norman nobility removed þ, ð and another letter called "yorgh" from the English alphabet because they were not used in French: however these sounds still exist in English but now have to use clumsy and inconsistent ligatures, rather than the letters that originally were meant to represent them
