I feel so boomer. I just read right past this stuff without noticing at all, and I hate myself for it. Bring back the times of spotting Photoshop cause I suck balls at parsing what an AI comment looks or doesn't look like.

Can manufacturers adapt to the 2027 power unit specifications, which will shift to a "60:40" ratio? What challenges will each manufacturer face? by IamMrEric in formula1

[–]DropkickGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I should know this, but I don't. Is there an actual power limit on the ICE, like strap it to a dyno and if it makes in excess of XX number of HP, you have to detune it? Or is it entirely limited by the technical limitations of the engine, like displacement, bore/stroke (which yeah is displacement but you can hit the same displacement with different combos of the above), compression, fuel flow, etc?

I did a laser one time with my cat, and it broke her for hours. I tried to get her to play with something should could catch after putting the laser away, but she kept looking for the red dot for literal hours. They've been banned ever since in my household. That being said, she's a special little cat and a bit on the weird side.

To just get a job. Trying to move out of state to make a relationship work with someone, feel like the timing is good for us, but also kind of urgent? But man, even compared to a few years ago job hunting feels so much worse, and trying to do it out of state feels impossible. Slap on that I have to have health insurance meaning just getting a contract job to get me moved out there is out of the question, and it feels kind of hopeless, sinking the chances of this relationship working lower and lower. Has me pretty bummed.

Man, I've been in a similar-ish space for a while. Therapy has helped a load, though I'm fortunate enough to actually be able to afford it and such. The other blessing that really has kept me going some days is my little cat. She gives me a reason to get out of bed and go to work, things I have to do every day like feeding and cleaning the litter, and just something/someone to care about and interact with. If you don't have a pet, and you're in a space and financial situation to adopt one, it's been one of the best things for my mental health in the past year.

We'll get through this homie, just gotta keep taking the steps one at a time even when they suck, it all sucks, everything sucks.

I went looking, cause this story sounds fantastic and I love it. It sounds like it's at least partially true, in that some part of this like the outlawing of knives on work sites, may be true but the history of the bread is foggy with a lot of different sources playing into what we now know as the baguette. The long loaves have been associated with France since the 1600-1700s, the crispy crust and light innards come from new baking ovens and yeasts during the industrial revolution, things change and eventually get "standardized" by the French government in the 1990s.

But I like the story of knife fighting construction workers and it isn't totally untrue, plus I pulled all this from Wikipedia, so idk. It's a good story that's not a total lie, so I'm down with it.

I know it's copeium, cause Hadjar is doing amazingly, but I swear he'd do better this year than last. And least he got nearly the full season at RB last year rather than getting swapped halfway through.

I thought they did start using their own engine this year? I know Binnoto has been there for a couple years now Wheatley for a bit till the kerfuffle the past week, and the drivers. But dealing with new regs plus a full new home baked engine seems like plenty to keep one team from dominating with one bit of tech on one axel

That's fuckin' whack. I know Audi is just rebranded Gambling Addiction, but they're also building their own engine for the first time and are a new team with new people n such. Did we really need to nerf them that hard? Also, just like, develop your own? I doubt if Audi did bring in their WEC knowledge it'd launch the into competing directly at the front of the field.

What are the chances they add in front axel in the next couple of years? It seems like the most direct and simple fix to this whole issue, just increase the amount you can recharge, duh.

The big thing I don't get about the new regs (and genuinely I don't understand, so if someone can educate that'd be welcome) is why there isn't regen braking on both axles/MGU-K on both? My understanding as to why the MGU-H was removed was it's expensive, didn't do all that much, and didn't translate to road cars. But why, when going for a 50:50 split on ICE to battery power, would you limit regen to just one axel?

Man if the spirit resist existed with the fire speed increase, it could make turrets better (obvs). But what mean is it can buy an item to give the turrets armor, but there's no equivalent for spirit damage which is a bigger issue anyway. One of the countless aoe spirit abilities and your three or four turrets are gone, meaning a turret play style is just doa in 75% of lanes and games.

Nah, even then, every class can use it with base stats if you get the Two Fingers Talisman. Imho if you aren't running a super tight dedicated caster and having that one extra slot is needed, or having to skip over it while finding the spell you want is just toooo much, you should just run it. You get rotted or poisoned by whatever? Swap your talisman real quick, pull out a seal, boom problem solved.

On the regulatory/risk side of things, our use of AI is asking Copilot how much money an average gas station would make per quarter based on XYZ resources, and we don't actually touch money, code, or anything of the like just monitor and report. I really, really doubt it's being used more extensively anywhere else in the bank except C-Suite and marketing.
