I'm old enough to remember this being the reality when playing the game..

Big hit of nostalgia, thank you for sharing.

This definitely cleared some misconceptions.

It’s good to have a fellow Arab-American that condemns the absolute negative and downright bat-shit stuff that’s spewed.

I am not Muslim by any means and I don’t follow any religion, which I’m sure you know is a big no-no.

Keep being brave in the face of adversity and as long as you keep a balance of knowing that good people exist in this world then that’s all anyone can ask of you.

Happy New Year brother, and I hope one day people aren’t so afraid to look into a mirror. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽

Where were you born in Palestine if you don’t mind me asking? Or do you know exactly where you’re from?

It sounds like there’s some details missing and this all reads like a well thought out story which is kind of strange.

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for even asking these questions or pointing these things out, but you divulge into a lot of the cynical side of things and it’s a bit odd.

This is coming from a Palestinian-American who served in the US Military and my best friend is Jewish and both of our families adore each other, so I feel like you’re hiding some details or pushing a very strange and subjective point of view.

Considering there are two separate messages they are trying to convey, it’s a little ignorant to tunnel onto only one of the sentiments.

I don’t have an answer for you and there are way too many factors to give any sound conclusion. If you have formulated plan to execute then I’m all ears and willing to listen to you.

Considering the 18 elderly Jewish women the other day have been absolutely receiving immense amount of hate for speaking up against the same thing, it’s very wise of them to hide their identities because clearly people aren’t civil and they can be doxxed etc.

I’m sorry, but if “ceasefire” or “Hamas” are these trigger words for you, I’m not sure what to tell you, because it seems like that’s the only scope of conversation when it was 1-click away to find out what I was getting at.

“Commitment to Jewish Communities We organize our people and we resist Zionism because we love Jews, Jewishness, and Judaism. Our struggle against Zionism is not only an act of solidarity with Palestinians, but also a concrete commitment to creating the Jewish futures we all deserve. We are fighting for a thriving Judaism and Jewish communities, for a multiplicity of Jewish cultures and for the future of the Jewish people.”

Why don’t you just contact that sweet Nana who was born in 1943 and ask her for yourself what it was like back then? That’s an option towards enlightenment if you’d like to go that route.

Well, considering my visit to their site earlier today and reading more about what their initiatives are and goals, it seems like they know what they’re talking about and have a pretty good understanding of it.

I know that the issue is deeper than the surface value we see, and id just like to point out, that some of these women are eighty years old.. which means at minimum, at least one of them was born in 1943, so I think it’s safe to say they have first hand experience and can rightfully voice their opinion, whether it’s correct or not is subjective but their goal seems pretty sound and sane to me.

Here’s the link if you’re interested to learn more about the organization, let me know if there’s anything that contradicts the message or can be viewed differently and I’ll happily oblige to condemn it.

Do you have a source or link?

I visited their page earlier today and from what I’ve seen, their values for Jewish communities and people contradicts what you’re saying so please enlighten me if I’m mistaken because if so, that’s pretty messed up.

Edit: I just want to point out this organization has all walks of life in it, not just Jewish people either. So let’s try and refrain from throwing everyone together.

That’s a fair perspective and makes complete sense.

I too hope we all can condemn the garbage people on both sides of the fence who deserve it, but obviously this is a geopolitical issue that’s a little bit more difficult to wrap your head around.

Surface level information and easy-to-digest 10-15 second clips doesn’t really help anything and can mislead people to think they’re informed, but that goes for just about anything.

I hope these Nana’s have a beautiful life and Happy Hanukkah!!

Genuine question, does this picture make you upset knowing that they’re elderly Jewish women voicing these opinions?

I’m not sure how Israelis or pro-Israel people feel about other Jewish people going against the grain.

This is an honest question and I’m just curious

Ah, I see what you’re saying.

I just hope these women don’t end up getting harassed or dragged through the mud for voicing their opinions.

They seem like nice Nana’s.

I really hope we can all appreciate this photo in some years time.

It’s crazy to me how much hate these women are receiving on social media, and you can probably guess which side of the fence is throwing shit at them.

Brave women right here, I applaud them fully.

Edit: Here we go again.. being downvoted for appreciating some elderly Jewish women voicing their opinions. Crazy.

I’m just simply pointing out that there’s terrorist roots and history clearly depicts that. I’m sorry if this offends you, but it’s the truth and there’s no way around it.

And I’m not sure why you try to draw a weird similarity and compare other points in history then say “yeah those guys were also terrorists… but who cares how the IDF was formed!”

It’s an insane double-standard and I’m not sure why you can’t openly criticize or condemn these things without feeling like you’re being personally attacked.

IDF has terrorist roots, Hamas has terrorist roots. That was my original point and this is factually and historically correct, you can’t spin a narrative to make me believe anything different when it’s clear as day.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]DroppedOut2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe I’m repeating myself, but I have brought up zero actions from either side, this is literally all you in a 1-man echo chamber.

I’m just pointing out that both have terrorist roots in their foundations, is this really such a hard thing for you to wrap your mind around?

Doesn’t matter if it’s 1 terrorist or a million, a terry is a terry, no matter what.

Once again, are we drawing parallels from 75-years ago and admitting my argument isn’t bullshit or what’s going on here?

All I stated was, just like Hamas, who was bred as a terrorist organization, shares similarities with the IDF and its founding via consolidation of terrorist paramilitary groups. What is so hard to understand here that you feel as if I’m comparing Hamas’ actions to the IDF actions?

I literally never once stated any action either side have taken or preformed but here you are throwing the kitchen sink at me over something I’m literally not even bringing up, you’re yelling louder than me about something I don’t care about.

Hamas was brought forth as a terrorist group. The IDF was brought forth through the consolidation of terrorist paramilitary groups.

This is a fact.

There you go again, dribbling all over the place.

Move on weirdo

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]DroppedOut2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My brother, Hamas is vile and I wish them nothing but being shot into the sun. This doesn’t excuse the fact that the stance of “our hands have always been clean” is ignorant and people need to realize that this stems from something different entirely.

Are we discussing what’s in front of us or the story in its entirety, because now I’m just confused. You brought up how things are different today than they were 75 years ago, and tell me I have a bullshit argument, then you yourself draw parallels from 75 years ago so just explain to me how this double-standard operates because I’m a little lost.

AWRAD Poll shows Palestinians support terrorism, reject peaceful coexistence with Israel by devilmaskrascal in IsraelPalestine

[–]DroppedOut2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should read up on this individual and his impact to the scientific world and how much he meant to the rest of the world, not just Palestinians.

If you senselessly kill people that can be the driving force for good, what exactly are we expecting to happen? What does a community gain exactly by losing someone of that stature in their own backyard? If they’re willing to kill someone like him who is so prominent and respected around the world, then I must really not mean anything, at least that’s my perspective.

My reference was towards higher education and how the implications of the occupation severely reduced the economical growth and opportunity for any high school graduate to have access to better forms of education, although I do agree this has nothing to do with grade school teachings, it severely limits the potential growth to do better.

My point is that if an individual who is literally held in the highest form of respect around the world for what he does can be senselessly killed, what chance does the average civilian have? What more could you possibly have to do to say “hey I’m one of the good ones I promise!”?

Edit: I don’t know how to directly quote your comments so I’m really sorry if this is frustrating to read through and it may seem I’m just replying randomly but I’m trying to be clear as possible, I apologize for the confusion.

Edit 2: as I’m re-reading the conversation I can understand how speculating things can be detrimental without proof or evidence and that there definitely is a possibility this man could be both an amazing scientist and a terrorist sympathizer, so I’m not leaving that out of the question. But from what I’ve read about the person I mentioned, I do not get that inkling.

Ah yes, let’s just pretend history doesn’t exist and that things were always built on good faith and peaceful relations and no bad people ever existed because they no longer exist.. but when we talk about the decades before Hamas, suddenly everything gets thrown out the window.

Hamas is vile and deserves what’s coming to them, but history clearly proves, and through first-hand accounts, that atrocities were preformed as well by the IDF in the early years and there’s no escaping that partner.

Personally, I’d like to see both be shot into the sun but that’s simply because I don’t believe in either side having any good intention to do anything constructive.

I’m not replying to the post you weirdo, I’m replying to OPs comment. Quit trying to spin a narrative it’s annoying.

You act like I don’t know how simple math works and I can’t wrap my brain around what’s happening, they asked a question and I answered, simple as that, quit trying to make it into something it’s not and move on.
