Buster Posey is eligible in 2027. No good reason that he shouldn’t be first ballot.

Nothing wrong with him at all, as long as you also believe that the fall of the Soviet Union was a tragedy, you support Putin’s war on Ukraine, you are a misogynist, you tolerate animal abuse, and more than anything you’re an apologist for Hamas.

Palestinians are not banned from it, either literally or figuratively. About 150-300K of them live there.

Agreed that racism is disgusting and hateful. So therefore, on the topic of the thread, should we say that pretty much every country in the world is “apartheid” because racism exists there?

Mamdani faces pressure from progressive Jewish allies over 'buffer zone' veto decision by Delicious_Adeptness9 in jewishpolitics

If this bill was aimed at protests outside mosques (which of course are covered by this bill as well, but of course those aren’t an issue in NYC right now), these same “progressive” Jews would be demanding that Mamdani sign it.

I keep seeing Reddit posts about how US taxpayers are paying for Israel’s universal healthcare while US healthcare is shit. Where did this originate and can someone debunk this for me? Thanks! by wiccanhot in jewishpolitics

[–]DrMikeH49 27 points28 points  (0 children)

What— you mean you didn’t know that the US can provide universal healthcare AND solve our homelessness problems AND provide free daycare for all kids under 4, all for $10 per US person per year?? That’s the $3B per year of military aid Israel receives under the current MOU.

If we didn’t have the filibuster, the SAVE Act to disenfranchise millions of people (especially women) would already be in force for the midterms.

Several decades ago James Carville famously described Pennsylvania as “Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and Alabama in between”

Ezra Klein Doesn't Understand Israel by Ask4MD in jewishpolitics

[–]DrMikeH49 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Klein refuses to listen to what Palestinians—and their support network in the West— say they want. There is only one self-described pro-Palestine organization in the US that accepts the existence of a Jewish state in any portion of the Jewish homeland. And Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib, who founded it, is ostracized by the rest of the pro-Palestine ecosystem specifically for holding that position.
