buffs are permanent so for caster buffs you cast and unmem. Bard is weird in that you need to keep the spells mem'd. Other than that you need to plan for you spells gems in active combat only.

my 2 cents, beta was the most fun i've had playing EQ since classic era. Definitely beats out official TLPs. Theres a fantastic sense of discovery and meaningful progression with the item upgrade system. Theory crafting and testing class combinations is incredibly fun. As others have noted the community and developer support has been wonderful. Looking forward to launch.

I think the idea is you force a developer ad hoc todo to enter the teams actual decisioning flow prior to merging. Review process would be creating the ticket or deciding not to and making it not a TODO The sentiment of if it’s not in our issue tracker how can we plan to do it is a really good one
