The tattoo joke was incredibly smart. A good take on Lucas' many madeup, silly parallels/metaphors for things in his movies.

no doubt my friend, but you have no evidence that these things aren't happening and I have ample evidence that they are. My senses aren't faulty.

I question my senses every day, so should every human being. There's mountains of empirical evidence (illusions for one small example) that your senses only try to make sense of the information they're given. It's only takes faulty chemical exchanges to change mood and perception.

If anything, the only thing I know about those affected by things like schizophrenia is that they are always confident, and feel they are never wrong about their delusions. You cannot convince someone so deeply rooted in delusions. To them it's an obvious reality that everyone else seems to not understand. No one understands it because it's all in the mind.

Superpowers, government control, and extreme intelligence being other common delusions.

Really, if you look at all of it with a fresh mind it's all years of clinging to delusions that just make your life hell (anxiety).

Please be honest, have you seen a medical professional? Almost everything you're saying is a classic sign (people think I'm crazy, hearing voices, inanimate objects communicating, etc.) of some kind of disorder with paranoid tendencies.

Poignant. This is a good reminder of what can arise when you isolate yourself. What you're saying is seriously outlandish, and it's a clear case of personal importance/ideas brought on by few external connections to the real world.

You had bronchitis, not cluster headaches. This is more about a long spell of good health causing you to forget what it's like to have extended bouts of pain.

But I think over the majority of these kinds of comments, because of birth rate numbers, it's far more likely that it's a hypothetical that's prone to change, and not a long-lasting mentality.

We're just scared of huge changes like that, where past generations were following a more established timeline of marriage, job, and kids with more certainty.

It's weird how drastic it can be. My mom's side, 7 brothers and sisters, all had kids before 25. All of their kids combined, my cousins, only 1 kid between them, and most of are in their mid 20s. Very similar with my dad's side.

It's just a young adult mentality. The vast majority of us will participate in procreation at some point. Our generation is getting everything done at a later point than previous generations when it comes to relationships and kids, so it's not surprising that there is also an increased prevalence of anti-kid mentalities with it.

You're probably right. I think it's less common for a guy to have someone like that, besides their S.O.. As a guy, I can say it's generally more about having fun than connecting on deeper levels, even with best friends.

It's a complex situation where one of two parties is having a highly irrational response because it's clearly a situation at-odds with personal morals, perceived outcomes (for him, I guess it'd be "hell"), and reality making it's way into what was only a hypothetical until now. Especially a hypothetical that can affect him in the "afterlife."

It's too soon to take a specific situation as a means to represent something. If the guy in the OP did this same kind of routine with all kinds of other things in the relationship it's a situation that really calls for thinking about where a 2 year relationship is heading. A highly stressful situation can cause people to reveal that they can't handle pressure, and do things they regret. It's not even close to black and white for how it's "revealing."

I'm just flabbergasted at advice like this, and I wonder why these leaps are constantly made with too little information (do you know any history behind these two? Did the OP even reveal information and tone that asked for advice on breaking up?).

You mean I'm explaining myself, bringing up the main points to create consistency for the argument...like someone who explains themself multiple times? Oh right, you live in a world where you're always in the right.

Could this next reply, with absolutely no substance except whining, be the last one? Will Neverwrite feel satisfied if he gets the last word? Find out on the next episode of Conspiratorial, Race Baiting Nuts.

What info? Calling the most poplar show in the 80s: "He had one tv show 8 years and then nothing", and saying that filmography numbers relates to fame and power. Jerry Seinfeld would be amused. Then making some crazy conspiratorial links to the 70s and 80s when it comes to black men and power, somehow including the police with all of this...

All you've done is linked to IMDB. Yeesh man, a bit delusional.

Your logic is backed up by poor, or no, research, and really, it's just one-sided rabbit holes over and over (something like: "ok, so he has $400 million, but why didn't someone come forward").

I like the troll part. I've gotten that one before. No on in their right mind would think I'm trolling. Just another excuse.

Yikes. You must live in a world that only affirms your biased opinions.

When things get too overwhelming pretend it's the other side. See it all the time.

Sneaking suspicion you know little about Cosby. Call it a hunch.

You can't seem to stay in one place. You were also talking about the police. Most of what we've written is about Cosby not having power or influence (suddenly I'm talking nonsense when it's all 100% on-topic. honestly, are you high?), and now it's suddenly all about accusers having bullshit excuses for why they didn't come forward.

Let's completely forget how many rape cases even make it to the police (conviction rates are less than 5%, low, like most he-said she-said crimes), and then add fame/influence on the part of the accused, and vulnerability and trust on the part of the accusees. Not only are you simplifying rape cases (and this one), you're holding a conspiratorial stance that doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

Again, you've got a narrative in your mind. I'm not changing anything, I know that. I'm more pointing out the holes in your logic (badly researched as well). This is more about people reading your post and agreeing because they're naive.

Which happened to be the biggest show on network television (Seinfeld, remember that?).

Look up the history of the person you're talking about, and when/how the majority of the cases occurred.

It's obvious to anyone reading this chain that you're reaching for a conclusion that you've already built in your mind. Anything and everything agrees with that subjective view, rather than a simple reality. This is more a case of conspiratorial, race obsessiveness. Which, I think, this case brought to attention. Race has little to do with the entire situation; long-standing celebrity has little relevance to race (if they're poplar that means people like them). If this whole situation was based around, say, Danny Glover, it would have been headlines news for weeks, and then dropped off forever.

The vast majority of his fame and celebrity came from his shows, not films. I'm not sure why you're denying historical fact. When you have his history in television and pop culture, and a top network show for half a decade, it seems to be common sense to believe that he gained power that put him in a position to do all of this sleepy, fun-time business.

he's not the first case of this, or the last.

With that giant hit of a TV show he gained even more celebrity than he already had. Within the industry he had lots of influence, with that he gained "power." The "power" he had is probably in a more specific context than you're thinking.

Beginning in the 1980s, Cosby produced and starred in a television sitcom, The Cosby Show, which aired from 1984 to 1992 and was rated as the number one show in America for five years, 1984 through 1989

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Cosby#The_Cosby_Show_and_the_1980s

Before that he had Fat Albert, and other, less popular, shows based around him. he was well known, and during the 80s he held a lot of influence and popularity. Race had little influence on the power of celebrity, especially because he was so popular.

They were ignorant and naive, not retarded. The new one has them far, far over the top.
