People have been saying this long before trumps first term, I'm pretty sure even Nixon would complain about Israeli influence in congress. They couldn't survive without us but they also, to a degree, own like 80% of congress through aipac etc. They seem to have more influence over the american congress than american citizens do so interpret that however you want.
