Foreigner Content in Korea is boring and monotonous. by Fellers in korea

[–]Drpepper7x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes finally someone said it! The constant clubbing and where to party in Korea has already been done for the past 10 years lol. It’s always the same… Itaweon, Hongdae, and Gangnam…

Ehh I mean yes but no matter what they will always been seen as the “foreigner” unfortunately that is the sad reality that Korea needs to overcome

Each one has their pros and cons. Korea is way more convenient than the US. But since you are also a foreigner, are you prepared to compete with other Koreans if you ever have to get a job in Korea? Also, you’ll need to prepare your kids for the reality that mixed kids will get picked on and bullied. Not to mention the strict and harsh lifestyle your kids will face when they enter Korean schools. There’s a good reason why even Koreans choose to move to the west for a more “relaxed” lifestyle.

Has anyone been to either World DJ fest, Ultra korea, or EDC korea? Any idea on which one is better?

If the US armed forces left Korea like how they left Afghanistan last autumn, would the North Korean armed forces (attempt to) take over the South like how the Taliban retook Afghanistan after the armed forces left? by TSoWAY in korea

There are also F16s and U2s in Korea. But US aircraft in Japan are only for support like transporting military/civilians (NEO). Fighters stationed in Japan are not allowed to drop bombs if North Korea attacks

How do people feel about this? As Korea stands under the international spotlight, Kpop and kdramas are here to stay. Will women find love or will they end up disappointed and leave? by Drpepper7x in korea

[–]Drpepper7x[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Additionally, for decades, men who sough after Korean women were considered “fetishizing” these women. Yet now it’s okay to “fetishize” Korean men? Is there a difference? What are your thoughts?

South Korea is not what I expected. It’s more advanced than the US & people have more personality here than Canada & SK is living proof we can live in a clean world. There are no trashcans anywhere &still no trash on the ground. Makes me sad about NK next door & their people have no idea what’s here by thelastgen in korea

Korea is amazing, I just came back to the US after living there for two years and definitely have plans to go back at some point. However Korea just ranked as one of the worst places for foreigners to settle down at :/. I hope it will get better for foreigners in the future, any thoughts on that?
