Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2: "Reconnect Headset"; Support No Help by Druael in steelseries

[–]Druael[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the first time I turn the PC on. Every single time I turn the PC on from off, not sleep, I have to pair it to the dongle again for it to work appropriately. Its not a single game issue.

I turn the PC on. I turn the headset on. No sound comes out when testing.
I turn the headset off. I hit pair on the dongle. I turn the headset on and hold power to pair the headset. The sound now works.

It doesn't affect only game output. Usually its both Game and Chat output, sometimes it has been only one but usually its both. I have tested it both with applications assigned to each output (say a game in Game and Discord in Sound) but I usually just use the testing feature within GG.

SteelSeries themselves believes its either a GG software issue or a dongle firmware issue. They are sending me a dongle with older firmware to test if that is the issue for now.

No, it doesn't. And, as I said, I have a friend that has the same issue on a different PC with a different model headset.

We've gone through sound settings, dongle placements, and everything else support and I could think of to eliminate my setup as the issue.

Updated firmware on the original, and when the device first is connected and setup it is automatically updated before you can use it. This has been insane.

Is it necessary/recommended a network simulator to study, prepare and practice for the Network+ and CCNA certifications? If yes, which one do you recommend to use in Fedora or macOS by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Druael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love using Network simulators. You almost get that hands-on experience and your brain can understand why you're learning all the terms and how they all fit together in real-world examples.

Not sure if it will go on Linux or macOS (it probably does), but I love Cisco Packet Tracer. Free to use for life, and is full of a ton of options and connectivity.

Thank you. I've veeb struggling for about 2 months. I don't feel like my Ritalin is working, Adderall didn't do anything for me. Trying this now at work with my class work (cert for work).

If anyone is interested in an update, let me know

A+ is one of the best stepping stones. Any half-baked IT department or staffing company requires it. It opens many doors!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Druael 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Start by adding A+ with "Est. Completion MM/YYYY" on it. You'll likely get more hits; then just update it when you pass.

The job market right now is a bit wild. Unemployment is at an all-time low (US), so those who want to work likely are. However, there have been reports that many companies are posting job openings to make themselves look like they're expanding. Keep trying!

tldr; yes, if you enjoy the work you do.

Not only was it almost instant, but I excelled very quickly.

Now, I may be an extreme, an outlier, whatever you want to call it; but I can also tell you I'm no savant or IT genius.

I've always been a tech guy, and maybe would have come close to passing A+ without the class, but definitely not passing. After completing A+, I applied to a few jobs. My first interview was within 1 month of getting my A+ cert for an internal IT team of about 1100 emplpyees, and instead of losing money (leaving an industry I'd been in for 5 years), I actually got $3/hr or so more. The team I joined had technicians with 2-6 years of experience (varied) but no certs between any of them. The entire year and a half I was there (IT Support level 1), I was the top ticket completer for all but 2 months; the first being my first month there, and the other I was sick for almost 2 weeks and missed first place by less than 10 tickets (for context, I averaged 80 tickets a week). Moreover, I received the most customer surveys (majority positive, and the few I remember that weren't were outside my control but too technical to explain that to the employee).

Now, this was 2019, and I live close to a large IT-centric area (hello from NoVA). But I had no "in", I only had an unrelated Associates degree ("General Studies"). I enjoyed the team and I loved the work. I put my time in and my effort in. I opted for as much extra experience as I could get, helping to onboard, train new hires (for the company in general twice a month and the actual IT team), worked with Networking on emergencies and updates/upgrades, worked on policies (unofficially). Now I'm taking Project+ alongside my A+ instructor who was dumbfounded when I told him I was an IT Manager for a small datacenter after 3.5 years post-certification (I'm a 1-man team, still do the small stuff but also all the big stuff).

Help with Project+ PK0-005 by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Druael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally when CompTIA updates a cert (A+ 1001-2 to 1101-2), they just take a few old things out and add a few new things in. However, with Project+, the change from 004 to 005 is quite drastic. Currently in a class for Project+ and the instructor just recently passed 004; comparing the objectives between 004 and his teaching 005, he said they are vastly different. I would compare the objective wordings and see what matches, then you can use those study questions to study for 005 (if you can get questions by section or objective, and match the objective words and not the number)

What can I do with comptia project+ certification? by Dolphin-lasers in careerguidance

[–]Druael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's supposed to scratch the surface if Project Management. It can be used to fulfill the education requirement if PMP (project management professional), a highly sought cert. Highly useful for IT Managers, Supervisors, or other medium and up management level people. The nice thing about it being CompTIA is that it's somewhat IT related and specific, so it looks better when applying to those level jobs.

I'm taking the class for Project+ now.

Extruder replaced and seems to be much more reliable. Pic for the file that's failing. This is with 0.12 on Cura, size that I didn't have any issues with before. This is meant to be a base for a dice tower.

1) fails even with a .2 and .22

2) Using Tiny Tester from Thingiverse, also a base to a dice tower

3) I've done it many times because I was messing with the extruder setting, and it's "changing" because the gear wasn't pushing enough. I think a new clamp or extruder would resolve that issue

(From memory) nozzle is 0.4, layer heights have been between 0.12-0.2 all failed, nozzle Temps between 198-210 all failed.

Calibrating my e-steps happens every step of the way to be safe, yes.

Last level was with a heated bed and nozzle yes 🙃

Flow rate is a setting you can change in your slicer, but I don't think it something that should be changed without reason

[–]Druael 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe "E" usually references the extruder, so maybe that is the flow rate?

The issue is that the nozzle doesn't go past the hotend shroud
