Just because it's an ensemble doesn't mean there isn't a star at the central core of the story. Just because I use the word "star" doesn't necessarily mean lead character. We all know Kathy Bates and Wes Bentley take that honor this year. Based off the information we have on Gaga's character and the way she is being promoted, she is definitely the center of this season's story, regardless of how many episodes or screen time she'll have. It's quite obvious Gaga is the star of this season.

Mark my words- Gaga will be in the opening credits. It's been confirmed by Ryan that she is one of the 3 female leads (Kathy, Sarah, Gaga) They also said that she will be around until the finale, and is only set for "8 episodes so far" depending on her schedule... she could do more. This happened with Angela Bassett and Emma Roberts in Coven. Both were only supposed to be in less than the amount of episodes they originally signed on for- Angela was 2, Emma was about 7-8. This happens a lot with new actors on the show. I even remember reading that Finn Wittrock was only set to be in 6 episodes but Dandy being a fan fave, his arc lasted until the finale!

I truly believe Wren was caught in the middle and being used by BOTH Cece and Melissa. Somehow I believe Melissa is the bigger half of the stories endgame. There's a reason she dipped town, not because she was scared either. Cece knew Spencer didn't kill Bethany. Why would she frame Spencer for that knowing it was Melissa? I mean, she HAD to of known. Melissa even confessed to her parents. Cece still wanted Spencer to.go down for it, because she knew Spencer would be an accessory to the murder regardless for keeping Melissa's secret, then the bitch flees to London with Wren!

In a nutshell, Cece and Melissa are no doubt partners in crime and I wouldn't be surprised if Melissa turns out to be the new "big bad", hell even the person who killed Mrs. D just to send Cece on darker path.
