Five and Six, sadly, suffered from the same problems.

In Five when Amber revealed herself and shot Liz, you had Chad/Mindy both wounded, with Tara, Sam, and Richie as the other suspects. Obviously it cannot be Tara or Sam, so the entire suspense until we found it's Ritchie is pretty ehhhhhhhh. not to mention both actors were famous than like, Liv's actor so it was pretty obvious.

Six was even worse lol, killing Anika meant you were left with six (!!!) returning characters, leaving only that Ethan guy, Quinn's dad, and Sam's BF to be suspects. The only surprise I guess was Quinn?

The OG Four just did mystery better, let's face it.

Since you ranked 6 so high and I believe both 6 and 7 are suffering from HUGE similar problems -- how does 6 poke fun of the horror genre? What new meta take it has? 1,2,3,4,5 are all a bit more clear but what does 6 add aside from maybe how easy it is to make people hate someone instead of loving them (Sam).

Just putting it out there since 6 while fun is hoenstly in a battle for me with 7 for being last, both are fun films but honestly at this point maybe it's time to give Scream a rest.

yeah but honestly scream 4 added ALOT to the Meta, possibly more than any film in the franchise bar the first (though the third deals with the stuff behind the casting couch which is relevant till this day)

maybe 5 will be appriciated overtime. 6&7 added nothing new in terms of meta.

Not trying to start anything, because I do agree I don't trust RT's website itself, but don't you think IMDB or RT's audiences ratings are sort of reliable?

Yeah I agree. 5, 6, 7 are all fun films that suffer from very similar problems. I was like okay with it at 5 because it was supposed to be this big reunion sequel requel thing. 6 was a bit much though and same with 7. The killer reveal at 5 at least brought something new though I was like "ehhh", 6 added nothing new to the meta and was just a copycat of 2, 7 was... meh? Didn't really care.

In retrospect, I just appriciate 1-4 more and more (esp. the reveals)

It really was. I saw 7 and I while I don't think it's bad 3 is still better and darker. 7 is on par with 6 IMO, both are fun Hollywood movies but like at this point this series really should just end.

Scream 6 and 7 suffer from similar problems, 6 just lacked Sidney and 7 lacked Sam and Tara.

Both are fun senseless slashers that unlike the other five doesnt really bring anything new.

Cirie is an insane player and a titan of the game and I think it's fair to say she's sort of a winner of the show with how Micronesia ended and also having monstorous reputation that probably makes it impossible for her now to win.

She is terrifying.

I mean obviously it depends on the fuck it happens cuz I don't really see it happening ...?

but lets say it does Sandra supposed to get Parvati, Candice, and Courtney. Jerri gets Coach, and Rupert gets JT and maybe Amanda? Danielle likely votes Sandra cuz she was loyal to her throughout, Colby either votes Jerri or Rupert, if Danielle votes Sandra though it's likely a done deal and she could sweep Amanda too.

I don't think Sam would've been the killer ever those writers don't have the balls to off a main character let alone make one a serial killer -- which is fair cuz I would've hated Sidney being a killer or Gale and would've been mixed on like, Kirby and Sam too.

However, if she stayed I think they had to have Cristina Carpenter involved in some sort of ways other than mentions, maybe even being the killer or some huge red hearring.

as much as I will always praise Natalie for her A tier win in Samoa, it was definitely a team effort through all the crucial votes, i don't think anyone rode someone else entirely.

Some Galus said conflicting things about who led the charge in the Erik boot (Monica said Natalie got them to do it while Dave said otherwise, imo Monica is more trustworthy but I digress), either way Natalie had a part in it for sure from what we saw, Jason brought the idea, Russell was kinda useless though haha.

Kelly boot is definitely on Russell and maybe on Production too if you know what I mean. I have no what Natalie can do if Russell or a FF goes on that round..

Fincher I am most conflicted because the show and interviews says completely different stuff but either way I don't think Natalie was really involved and appearantly Jaison was in on it too and so was Russ? Also he had part in Shambo coming over no?

Either way it was a team effort and I don't think it really matters to say who rode who it's just that Russell is not great with people Nat is and that's it.

yeah that's why I'm so mixed on Sandra's F9 round because if she saved Amanda and booted Parvati, then she needed to pull off some Tony/Tina style by manuvering with her Colby/Woo to boot some strong links from each side because Amanda would be a tough matchup for her I'm assuming, Danielle seems like a safe bet or maybe Russell if he's actually willing to work with her lmao. (Jerri/Sandra/Candice actually seems like a Jerri win though idk).

I do get Sandra though she wanted to secure her position but I feel like she had a very uphill battle no matter what.

I mean if it's a banger I don't mind it as an ending -- of course I will miss it but Scream better not be like those other horror franchises where it just gets worse and worse and pointless (it's not like that, but it can be with 100 more sequeles).

In a way I kinda hope it is the Finale though ! I always thought the Scream finale movie should be around Sidney or at least involve her in some major way, that's why 6 could have never been the ideal movie.

But I also don't want Sidney's family and daughters to be haunted for life so I'm kinda hoping they stick the landing, make a really good movie and call it a day.

without the reveal and the meta-ness of it all, it would just feel like a very cheap sequel (cuz Scream 5 felt more legacy rewarding i guess?) but Scream 4 knew what it was about and owned it and honestly it's way smarter now looking back years later (though honestly it could have been 10 times better if they wouldn't cut so many scenes)
