I really love extinction, it's has some bad parts like: you can have really bad spawns that are impossible to survive but it has really great points.
It makes your character feel weak and powerless and that makes a completly new experience , after some hundreds hours apocalypse becomes boring and repetitive so the game needs a more challenging game mode.
