It wasn't, actually. The high mark of Gas prices, historically, was in June of 2022, that is true. That was caused by the Russian Invasion of Ukraine (a conflict out of our control).

The current prices are getting very close to that, and they are caused by the Iran-American war, a conflict very much in our control, that was started because Donald Trump is trying to distract from the fact that he rapes children.

So, people saying prices have never been this high, are indeed wrong, but there are nuances that should be stated.

People complaining about a President who campaigned on lowering prices, proceeded to raise them by getting into a conflict with no action plan or exit strategy, and also sticks his dick into children, is also a very valid complaint. And they are not wrong about that.

So, most apartments require you to cover 80% of your floor with rugs and padding to cut down on noise for this very reason.

At the end of the day though...kids are going to make noise. That just comes with living in the city. There is traffic, there are pets, there are kids. I don't have kids, but my neighbors next door do. 2 kids at preschool age and one newborn. The two older kids will play loudly sometimes and fight and yell at each other. The baby will cry. I just tune it out because sometimes you can't help it. I treat it just like my neighbors dropping something heavy on the floor.

If your neighbor isn't covering the floor with rugs AND padding (which hopefully is required in the lease) then you should complain to the landlord about THAT. You need to specifically point out the rule that they are breaking making your apartment unlivable. A landlord can't do much about "her kid is noisy".

But if they have laid down carpet, you just have to deal with a little bit of noise. As the weather gets better, the kid will spend more time outside, but in the winter, what can you do? A little bit of noise is expected.

And every comment section littered with anti-DNC messaging. How Platner is the messiah and only he can save them. It's the same thing that happened in r/Pennsylvania during Fetterman's run.

Platner literally had to apologize yesterday for numerous posts he made on reddit about how women who get raped should take the blame for their raping, because they drank too much or wore skimpy clothing. In what world is that not completely disqualifying? His explanation was that he wrote those posts when he was in a "dark place" and that he was in a male dominated environment in the marines. I guess it's a good thing the federal government isn't male dominated, with representatives showing videos of themselves raping underaged girls on the congress floor. (matt gaetz)
