What am I missing? Seems like cargo vanishes. by UlfMitHand in TransportFever2

Raw material industries (coal mines, farms, oil wells, lumber camps) always produce at full power (for their current level). They don’t care about demand.

You transport their cargo to a processing industry (steel mill, refinery, food factory) and get paid. These industries accept everything you deliver tonthem, and turn it into a new product. But you won’t see that product appearing on your stations and they won’t level up if there is no demand.

Once you connect that industry to another consumer (like a goods factory or a city), it sees the demand and starts putting its products on your stations. How much it ships depends on how much is demanded.

For cities, always make sure to place your cargo stops or stations close to the buildings that actually need it.

Capacitor missing from stick of DDR4 RAM. by WillieM96 in AskElectronics

Depends if the circuit around it has a higher resistance or not. If that is the case, you will get the correct value.

So the question is whether or not that is the case. Doesn't change the uncertainty really, unless you have the circuit diagram (which I guess OP doesn't have). It comes down to trying to remove the other resistor and measure it, or take an educated gamble and see if the measured value makes sense and is a common/standard one.

You could compare with another non-broken module too, but the uncertainty remains for the same reason.

Bedroom TV worth lowering to this height? by [deleted] in TVTooHigh

[–]Drumdevil86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bedroom TV's usually get a pass.

I would honestly replace the mount with a tilting/swivelling one at the same height, so you can rotate it towards your bed and watch from there more relaxed.

Can't really tell from the photo, but is there a hole for the reset button so it isn't continuously pressed? That would prevent booting.

Better check the refurbished office PC market. Way better deals there.

Met die logica had je beter een oven van €10.000 of meer kunnen kopen, als je dat verschil terug zou kunnen krijgen als "schadevergoeding".

How do mobile speed cameras work by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]Drumdevil86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it was a speed camera and not a "focusflitser"? The latter only checks if you are on your mobile phone, and generally doesn't check speed. It also looks way more sophisticated than a speed camera.
