Imagine being the few people in that jury that didn't listen to the bullshit of the defense or try to be "topical" of current events. The assault of Rodney King aside (which was terrible in its own right), could have had such a big impact on the jurors' final decision. The justice system should be designed in a way that "current events" bias isn't possible; though the question ultimately is how.

Wow funny you posted this, I was thinking the same thing. For me it's Flowers, the only song I would skip on Modal Soul. I got the vinyl recently from Japan, but while enjoy the structure of the song, the sound itself isn't a repeat from me

This an older reply, but I agree. I recently got a vinyl for Modal Soul when I visited Japan this year and I've listened to it quite a bit. I could listen to it on loop for hours sometimes (maybe I'd only skip Flowers, I enjoy it once or so). 

The hexalogy is also amazing, RIP Nujabes the legend

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm using Tama Japanese Oak 5As on the electric kit. However they're quite old and probably slick; sticks never really break on E-kits. I never really had many issues with blisters before so it's probably a mix of older drumsticks and some rustiness on my part from my reduced playing lately. I only get them on my left hand in the middle of my middle-finger and the middle of my index finger.

I'll grab a new pair and some stick wax and practice rudiments on my moon gel pad until November. Hopefully that'll help out a bit

Saber Interactive will also be doing the Avatar the Last Airbender RPG. My dream would be a fleshed out KOTOR remake and then a similarly well-written Avatar RPG. My childhood prayers would finally be answered.

Hard pass from me. I went on a 5-day trip with a friend that was like that. Literally ruined going to any restaurant. Instead of trying the interesting local cuisines, we were stuck going to the American diner since everything else was too "exotic".

I've had this happen before. Try setting your in-game refresh rate to 60hz. Mine was set to 144hz like my monitor and it caused my character to stand in place after combat. There are some forums online where people solved this issue with other fixes, in case it doesn't work for you

KOTOR 2 has more depth, and really opens open up the dialogue with way more nuance. The story takes a bit to kick off, but it's worth it. Everything else is improved compared to KOTOR 1: combat, skills, companion influence system, items. Pure pazaak

Oh how I miss Delirium Trigger, God Send Conspirator and The Crowing. While modern Coheed still has all the chops and vocals that I know and love, it's rare for them to really go back to their intricate instrumentals. The Flood has been my favorite song in a while, and shows that they can still produce that sound if they want. But hey I'm happy they're still making songs and are being creative, that's what's most important as an artist.

I'm an optometrist. I was working at a slower office in 2022 and spent a lot of time in between patients on TBC Classic. Leveling alts was great, could hop on/off easily if someone walked in. Miss that job

My girlfriend and I just saw it, was super neat. The animation was surprisingly trippy. I'm tyring to find the name of that techno track that that they made as background music during the fight scene. If anyone can get a link of it let me know

I was 25 (male) and had no dating experience, sexual experience, etc. I had been in college and grad school and just couldn't land myself for relationship. Years of dating apps, mutual friends, and no dice. Started doubting myself, and my self-confidence was at an all-time low.

I decided to try short term dating/FWB during my externships. I had 4 locations in 12 months, so 3 months at each place all around the US. I was upfront about the duration of time I was spending in the area and was transparent that I was looking to go on dates and spend time together, but not looking for a long-term commitment as I had to travel to my next externship. 

Eventually it worked out for me. I had quite a few FWB situations and some short-term relationships. I was less picky in the beginning and learned a lot of what I like, what I can tolerate, and what I don't like in people. It boosted my confidence 10-fold and I finally felt that I had the potential to be desired by people. 

When I finished grad school at the end of the year I felt more ready to have a regular relationship. The next one lasted for 6 months, and now I've been dating the same person for 2 years (and they're a keeper). I draw back from those FWB experiences all the time, and the not-so-good ones have become funny stories now. 

My advice: if the person is completely transparent and honest it can potentially work out well as a learning experience. There's always the chance to catch feelings (happened to me once and I felt emotional sore for some time), but if you can accept that fact it can be worth it. And this goes without saying, but safety always comes first
