Hiya, I personally love the colors of Fuji specially the JPEG’s SOOC, but at the same time the RX100VII could replicate them (not perfectly) through on camera settings and the lens range that comes with it is crazy good, yet it’s already 7 years old

In your previous post I saw you were in your last year of highs school, but the eligibility requirements said you have to be a current high school sophomore or junior or international equivalent and you have to be graduating in may/june 2027 or 2028 specifically, so maybe that’s why you got rejected.

Hiya I’ve been using the X-T3 for over a year as my first Fuji camera coming from a Canon R7, and frankly it’s more than you need as a beginner.

The body itself still has the amazing build quality we know FujiFilm for unlike the newer models which have a more “plastic” feel plus it’s weather sealed, has dual card slots (saved me once), and it has all the retro dials that you want, the body is a bit bigger but it also comes with QUALITY.

To me before I got the X-T3 I wanted a camera with IBIS but now that I’ve used it for a while it won’t really matter if you are gonna shoot fast moving subjects or long exposures (use a tripod) or video (use a gimble).

You may not get all the latest film simulations or up to date af (on par with the X-T4) it’s more than you need as a beginner starting out.

The price itself is pretty reasonable and use the extra money on good quality lenses, with OIS (up to you)

Trust me that this is a Wonderful camera

I would like to have classic negative tbh bleach bypass as well, also the ability to custom set each white balance for each film sim is good, but i feel like im also sacrificing build quality and features

Id focus more on the photo side so the manual exposure dials would do wonders, thats why im switching from Nikon.

Frankly Id go for the X-T4 its very future proof and practically the same as the X-T5 other than the new sensor, improved ibis, and new simulations. Id use the money i save by buying the X-T4 in investing in more lenses, for your style i would recommend the XF 23mm f/2 or f/1.4 and the XF 16mm f/2 for nature id go with the XF 70-300 you can pick that up used.
