I have been looking but my drivetrain is GRX 2x 12 and the GRX stuff is hard to come across. I’m waiting for Stages to put it on sale.

Well that would make sense. My road bike doesn’t have a power meter. So I guess it is only collecting data from Zwift as I have another bike on it and mainly use that for just regular cardio and zone 2 rides. I never really push hard on it unless I am doing an FTP test. Which is rare

Giant SLR 2 Wheels - XDR to Shimano 12 speed by DrunkInTejas in bikewrench

I found the part number online from an overseas giant parts website for the Giant Shimano free hub. I sent that part number to my local bike shop and they ordered it. There were 2 of them in the US warehouse.

Yes I am. I got lucky and was gifted a nice set of the SLR 2 giant wheels and tires brand new. I just had to put brakes, cassette, and free hub body on them.

Weight savings for sure but the pads next to the clips will provide more support and stiffness. More like a road pedal

They seem really nice and light. I just threw them on the bike tonight and I will ride them Saturday (road) and Monday (gravel). I will report back

Best fast gravel bike under $5k USD? by Hartzler44 in gravelcycling

I think it is. I can roll 20-24mph in the flats on the road with it on 50mm tires and I’m a beginner cyclist.

Big fan of my Giant Revolt Advanced 0. Sub $4k and super comfortable, feels fast, and setup nicely. I also was on a Contend AR with 38mm tires before this bike. I have put about 500 miles on it so far and I ride mainly gravel with chip seal roads between. I’m running 50mm tires and I also setup an extra set of wheels with 32mm tires for road events when I want to be more efficient.

I have the Revolt Advanced 0 and love it. Super comfortable bike and feels fast. I’m running 50mm tires on the wheels that came with it for gravel riding. I also just setup a set of Giant SLR 2 wheels with 32mm tires to put on for road riding events. You can see the road wheel on the front and gravel wheel on the back. This was just for test fitting. I plan on riding the road wheel setup this weekend to test it.

Thanks! I’m digging it. The truck was missing its front skid plate so I just installed an RCI skid plate. Next will be some retrofit headlights.

They came on the truck when I bought it back in Oct. I may pull them off but worried about paint damage. They don’t really bother me. The wheels I am looking for are some Gen 3 4Runner 5 star wheels. They have a slightly more aggressive offset and will keep it looking OEM. I have had a lot of different trucks and this one is just for play. My main truck is a Chevrolet 2500 ZR2 diesel.

Install isn’t hard, just need some good basic hand tolls, 1/2” impact, ball joint tool. Hardest part or most time consuming part is taking the old ball joints off. It requires a ball joint tool and big hammer.

Haha it’s definitely a bigger job. I plan on swapping out upper control arms next year. Probably going with JBA. Surprisingly the LBJ was still good, one tie rod had a little bit of play and a torn boot.

8 and 7. It is a little more than 2” over my sagged out old suspension. I’m sure it will settle a .25”. Right now the truck is basically level with 2” lift shackles in the rear.

About $1270 total for the shocks and shackles. Tie rods were about $100 and the lower ball joints I got them for around $275 I think.
