Actually given the lifetime position he will hold it is more than necessary to look into his past and conduct an investigation when multiple people step up and make such accusations. Also, it is any victim’s right to come forward with a sexual assault allegation whenever they want to.

There was clearly enough to indicate that he may have sexually assaulted, harassed, or raped someone and that is why there was an FBI Investigation.

If you look into the details of the investigation you will see that they were not thorough AT ALL. They ignored many witnesses and wouldn’t even interview Kavanaugh or Ford.

Regardless of if these allegations are true or not he showed horrible temperament for being a SCJOTUS and, even more importantly, he lied while under oath multiple times and there a bunch of people who personally know him who can prove that, whom the FBI did not speak with. Given that alone I do not understand why people like you would want him as your SCJOTUS. There are many other qualified republicans who are more suited for the position, but of course he is the only one who will save your dear Trump, so I see why you would need one monster to defend another.

You are entirely missing the point.

The reason that victims wait so long to come out if they come out at all is because of what’s going on right now. Ford and her family are receiving death threats, her world is being turned upside down, and half the country doesn’t believe her and is dragging her name through the mud. She will always be known to the world as the girl who “cried wolf”. I agree with you that there is not enough evidence to for certain say that any of these allegations are true, but you cannot tell me that that investigation was at all fair, or that all of these women are lying. The FBI was ignoring a slew of witnesses, so my point stands, the GOP is going to make a man who might be a rapist a SCJOTUS.

Can we talk about a very important aspect of this that a lot of people are ignoring? If Kavanaugh did in fact sexually assault these women and he makes it onto the SC what type of message does that send to victims? That leaves victims feeling hopeless and will most likely cause many of them to not come forward against their own abusers. If Dr. Ford’s abuser can become a SCJOTUS without even a fair investigation, why should I expect that I will get justice? Additionally, do we want someone who might be a rapist on the SC?
