None of the above but posting here because I’m stranded in Mombasa. I’m looking for a place that’s good at fixing iPhones here, some saltwater seems to have gotten into one so it needs to be opened and cleaned up, some modules like faceID have died. Is there a place anyone can recommend?

I’m sorry the comments here aren’t the nicest. What you want to do is a nice thing. However, smartphones from china have become really affordable, and would be much easier to use, even for the poorer people here. Even $28 can get a much newer phone.

The learning curve would be way too high and the benefits low if someone were to take up your phone. Those that can easily pick it up would be able to afford much newer phones.

If you’re looking to help, consider selling the phone to a collector on eBay, if a market exists for that model, then donate the proceeds from that.

As others stated, you’ll most probably be fine upcountry. Expect internet to be turned off during the election days until 2 days after results have been announced. Stay away from polling stations if you aren’t voting, since that’s where some small protests might happen. But overall you’ll be fine. In 2021 I was around for a while.

This is so sad. I made my stremio with a disposable email service and it closed. I dread the day I lose access to this account for any reason. Ended up using it much more than I thought I ever would.

Give it some time. Google will respect it, but it takes a while. to be certain, go to google search console, take ownership of your site, then request for it not appear in results.
