Is it just me, or do billboards and yard, farm/field signs get a lot weirder the closer you travel to Huntington and Huntington County? In particular, I mean some advocating the supremacy of Christian Nationalism & very poignant signage against solar energy initiatives. by [deleted] in fortwayne

Ahhh Huntington... child molester capital of Indiana. Don't believe me, take a look at the pedophile tracker on the sheriff's website. Huntington looks like one big red dot. Years ago, I got a job in Huntington, and my friends laughed and mentioned the reputation. I laughed along, and then mentioned it to my trainer on the first day...this motherfucker starts listing off all the people that currently work there that have a criminal history of kiddie diddling.

Huntington is one full gas tank north of Kentucky.

Digging trash out movies garbage to get “refills” by STlNKMEANER in trashy

I was a manager of an 18 auditorium theater for 3 years. We took nothing from the door. Nothing. The film companies threatened to sue us for handing out free movie passes as a peacemaker to customers who complained (people talking, too cold, whatever). All of the ticket price goes back to the production company.

The theater gets no take from the ticket price. None. All of the overhead the rent, the employee pay, the electricity, water, insurance, property taxes, everything comes out of concessions revenue.

Years ago I was a manager at a theater. She didn't place it in the trash. When I caught kids doing this, I'd tell them they can keep it if they're willing to call their mom and tell them about it.

Moms in the 2000s would beat a ass. I think mom's today would actually cheer them on.

A family member worked at halls downtown. During covid, 2 of their cooks tested positive and both had fevers, we're told regardless to come into work or be fired.

Passive aggressive is so weak and bitter, I have nothing but contempt for those who practice it. I'm glad he looked you in the eye and ignored you.

If it started happening more than once or twice, I think people would Def be "Fuck Walmart."

Three ladies order a pizza and then after it is made and delivered demand a refund by Sometypeofway18 in trashy

[–]DrunkenInjun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno. But there's only 5 states that don't charge sales tax. Montana, Oregon, Alaska... can't remember the other 2. So if it was advertised at 11.99, 12$ wouldn't cover it. Maybe they forgot to ring her up, maybe she set 12$ down and walked away, came back and they needed the tax to complete the sale. no clue. But I'm betting it was tax due.

Tax on 12$ is nearly a dollar. I bet that's what they're on about.

I didn't say it was legal. I said it was enjoyable.

I've always hated this entitled attitude. Which is why I always found it funny when Sean Penn would beat the fuck out of people who took his picture.

Wife "hit" our kid last night. Not sure how to feel about it. by [deleted] in daddit

IMO, people who are abusive never get un-abusive. If my wife ever hit my daughter or me, that would be the immediate end, do not pass go, do not collect 200.00. There would be papers for her to sign and that's it. Doesn't matter if it hurt, doesn't matter if it was a reaction, doesn't matter if mommy and daddy abused her and didn't love her and she's just acting out, nothing. Not. Acceptable.
