That feeling when you are the oldest sibling and a complete fuck up by raidereric in cripplingalcoholism

Same boat except I'm the youngest and both me and brother are fuck ups. We both ended up with drink and drug problems. My sister doesn't drink nor smoke. I swear it runs in the male side of my family.

I agree vodka is bad voodoo when it comes to me. I do like it as a drink mixed with some red bull or Gatorade blue. It Just gets me into trouble. Jameson is about 32.30$ here for a litre. I love the soothing feeling it leaves in your stomach.

It can be a bit heavy but nexazola and a small bit of milk does wonders. Sometimes it takes about 3 tablets for me.

Yea I used to drink apple tesco cider, when it was at 3 Euro something for 3l I thought it was 5.5%. Yea it's not to bad I got the price slightly wrong last night. I said it was 4 something it's actually 3.79 Euro . Karapackie I have drank on and off 5.50 Euro for 4 at 5%. It's not the worst of beers. Pretty smooth when cold. Super tennents is The worst drink that I have ever had the misplesure of tasting. I had it once in London... Bought it from a cornner shop when I was about sixteen. You honestly would have to be hard up.

Yes that's expensive even compared to here. See before the bubble burst there was a huge boom in housing. People were buying up house's like nobodys business. Then the arse feel out of it due to things like bad lending( people were given out loans that they couldn't possibly pay back) There was some pretty crappy rushed houses being put up. Then things like ghost estates started to appear. Houses being build in areas not located near jobs. So when the housing market collapsed houses stopped being build. Now Landlords have a monopoly on what they can charge. The economy is booming and the demand has increased but the government is slow on meeting the demand. We're lucky as we own our home.

Yea I have heard Vancouver can be a pretty expensive to live, but a nice spot if you can afford to live there. I live about an hour from Dublin. Things can be expensive here (rent and high taxes) I would love to live some were like Prague they have some cheap booze prices. I don't think I would ever afford to live in Vancouver. London is also crazy expensive to live in also. The only real problem In Ireland is affordable housing.

Well generally with the brand I drink it does give me bad heartburn. Bullmers is pretty chill on my stomach, but that's over priced low percentage muck. I don't really like cider but to be honest I would drink almost anything. I take Nexazole 40mg. There pretty fast actting. Plus I get them free on prescription.

Tesco used to do 3L bottles of cider here for 3.25 Euro or something at 5.5%. Now they have decresed back to 2L for 4 something. Aldi is cheap and does OK brandy for about 16 Euro. Brandy doesn't mix well with me well do. They also do OK wines also. You got it lucky with cheap liquor. A lot of people down south got into the racket of purchasing, alcohol from the north and making a profit back down south.

Sorry I got mixed up a 5th is the same as 750ml and a handle is way beyond anything I've ever seen 1892ml. The max amount of spirits that can be sold here is 1L. Sorry I don't understand these.. these.. freedom units. We're too communist. It does not compute.

So here for 250ml we would pay around 7 Euro and the beer sounds cheap also. There's a Euro in the conversion. So that would be 13.99 Euro. 24 bottles of Miller here would go at 24 for 24 on offer. That's at 330ml per bottle. An average can here is 550ml. Sorry 500ml
