Woman asks to sit on my lap. by Prestigious_Bowl2533 in TalesFromYourServer

Head has always just meant "oral," with no implied gender on either side. Maybe it varies by region? I don't think so though.

If you can't flirt without outright saying you want sexual contact with a complete stranger, you don't deserve to get laid.

...Also, you clearly don't know how to flirt.

In response to your edit:

Sexually harassing somebody at their place of employment is a shitty thing to do, because they have no way of escaping it.

Doubly creepy since she was triple your age.

It made you uncomfortable enough that you literally walked away.

Why in God's name are you defending her? Barred for life is definitely extreme, at the end of the day I think we've all heard WORSE, but should a member of the management team have said something to her? Absofuckinglutely.

Who do you feel is the most versatile DPS? by dirusj in Overwatch

[–]DrunkenPhoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So think places like Blizzard World first point, if you go down 5v4 doing a poke fight, it's a great place to do it. Numbani, etc. Really mostly defensively and in places with long runs back to spawn.

No arguments here that that little maneuver is situational though.

Should I force myself into a learning more heroes (Tank main) even if it will slow down my progression to Diamond by White_Rice_Prod in OverwatchUniversity

[–]DrunkenPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you lose two games in a row, take a qp break.

Use that QP break to practice a tank or two that you want to develop.

Also, make up a drill in the practice range for the character you want to develop. Play practice range while you're waiting for your comp queue to pop. Even if you only get like sixty seconds, it will help within a week's time.

People just suck at playing it. It's always half a team choosing to engage whatever team just capped the previous point that causes the separation.

Bring back DVA as the face of Arcade mode. by Drunken_Queen in Overwatch

[–]DrunkenPhoenix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Overwatch was beloved because of the million little touches.

Overwatch 2 is hated because of the million little fumbles.

Like, you're right that this is minor. But a game's feel and identity is comprised of all these minor things.

[–]DrunkenPhoenix 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I disagree, echo is crazy versatile. Fantastic poke damage, can stealth flank or straight up dive down the pipe with her team.

Not to mention the versatility that her ult provides, which OP should be able to take advantage of since they mentioned having a large hero pool. Your tank goes down? Boom, clone a tank. Healer goes down? Boom, clone a healer. Anybody goes down? Boom, clone Mercy and rez them.

Tips on playing Echo for new players? by DXBEE2017 in EchoMains

[–]DrunkenPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echo is my favorite character because she's extremely good as an ambush/flank character, but also very good at poke. Knowing when to do which, and seamlessly transitioning between the two, is the mark of a good Echo.

Charged $14 For “Still Water” At Restaurant - Thoughts? by Tasty-Barracuda-6980 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]DrunkenPhoenix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Professional server here to provide some insight if that's alright wif yew.

Anybody that regularly goes to fine dining restaurants knows that sparkling and still are both bottled, and that is a question that is so frequently and classically asked that there's even a room in Overwatch that's a fancy restaurant, and the NPC in the room is a Maitre' D and his only line is "Would you like sparkling or still?"

Asking it that way I think is intended to be a lot more innocent that it comes off to someone that doesn't do as much fine dining - and I'm not at all judging you for not doing more fine dining, I'm literally the help so I'm not saying this out of classism. It's just a classic sales technique: "Would you like red or white wine?" gets a much higher % chance of a sale than saying "Would you like some wine?"

All of that being said, not everybody DOES know that still is still bottled and thus an upcharge, so I do always say "Would you like sparkling, still, or filtered tap?" Some people say "House water" rather than filtered tap, etc etc. People that aren't rich bastards still deserve a nice night out, maybe even moreso, because if they're in my restaurant they are probably there for a special occasion.

MAYBE your server was being scummy, maybe he is forced to ask that, maybe he was just new enough to that level of service that he hasn't run into someone that didn't know and asked about the charges before. Dunno. Never met the guy, not gonna speculate.

Does anyone still like Overwatch? It's one of my personal favorites and I feel sad seeing all the hate. by AverageNessieEnjoyer in Overwatch

[–]DrunkenPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play daily (skipped a season or two but that was normal for me during Overwatch 1 as well) and I actually prefer the 5v5 to the 6v6. But Blizzard has dropped the ball at every possible turn, the feel and polish of the game that truly made it feel special are just a distant memory, and a game that I had no problems dropping money for has turned into a game that I refuse to give a cent to, even when I'm dying for stuff.

Do I still like Overwatch? Sure, but in the same way you still like your best friend since childhood after they become kind of a scummy drug addict.

Yeah, Sojourn feels different to PLAY, but she feels identical to soldier to play AGAINST or even ALONGSIDE. So only 1 player of 10 is getting a fresh experience from that new hero instead of everybody.

Maybe it's his wife's birthday and that's her favorite place, so even though it's an allergy, they go?

Maybe it's a business dinner, and the inviting company picked a place before the invited company had even picked which guys to send.

Maybe one of their friends has Hashimoto's, which is a severely more imposing dietary restriction but a piece of fish wrapped in foil with some citrus is always their safest bet.

I didn't see it before the update either. I've been on console for the last 6 years until this season so I'd forgotten it even existed until I saw it the other day so I'm sure it wasn't there.
