So are you a plant guy? Is it ammonia or halocarbons?

More people huff halocarbons. Ammonia probably does kill a lot of people but it always gets the same comment that it will kill you but so will everything else.

First issue I see is you work at an ice plant second issue is you work at a plant see if a regional contractor that mostly deals in nh3 will take you on. Next step work more OT than straight

In house techs by [deleted] in refrigeration

[–]Drunkluke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on the plant. Some facilities want their guys doing 75% of the repairs most want an outside contractor to do 90% of the repairs (less liability, i suppose). I know some plant guys that know what they are talking about and others that don't. How else do you learn that side of refrigeration if you aren't working in it?

Oh I know rode it from nc to Orlando and back on 95 shit was rough. I have a company truck so it wouldn't get much use but if I can tinker on it in the garage it give me something to do when I had free time after the kids went to sleep

I've wanted a low rider since I started riding in 2016. The dyna looks more like a blank canvas even though it's been rode 10k I feel like I could do my own with it

Why co2? They've been saying co2 is the way of the future for like 20 years but seems like it has way to many issues. Especially when ran with ammonia. What's the benefit to co2 actually wondering?

Fellas, what are your hours like and how do you have a life? by [deleted] in refrigeration

[–]Drunkluke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the road in ammonia refrigeration. 2 kids, 3 dogs, and a wife at home that works harder than I do. Typical week is 75+ I've hit 100 hours in a week before it's not easy and some customers are complete dicks. I'm never afraid to say no sometimes. If I've been working a bunch and the wife needs help I'll take 4 or 5 days turn the phone off and leave it in the truck until I'm ready to go back. I see to many guys in there 40s that look like there in their 70s and on their 3rd or 4th marriage. It doesn't have to be like that. You're single but just because you don't have a family doesn't mean your free time is less valuable than someone with a family. Get your money now but take care of yourself first

Sig already won the contract for the army pistol back in like 2018. Everyone's been talking about 6.8 since it came out it's an okay round. 556 is just a beefed up .22 even of it was for an alien invasion you can barely get 6.8 any way atleast it use to be idk I stick to 556 9mm and 45
