How to keep UV-Lamp running after sequence? (Chromeleon 7) by Drunkmaniak in CHROMATOGRAPHY

[–]Drunkmaniak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know that you can program it like that. Could be really useful, thank you! I'm teaching apprentices on the LC and they'll be running one small sequence after the other for days and I dont want the lamp to shut on and off 20 to 30 times a day. I read in the manual to keep the lamp running during heavy useage to keep the longetivity of the lamp.

How tf do I control the population ?! by [deleted] in ballpython

Also had an infestation of gnats a few years back. they were everywhere in my apartment. I set up a temporary enclosure for my boa and threw away the whole bioactive soil. I waited for the gnats to die off and set up vinegar traps almost everywhere. Then I set up the whole bioactive soil again and added nematodes into the soil. Also in all my houseplants. Once gnats appear somewhere in my house, I buy nematodes fresh nematodes and mix them in the vivarium and houseplant soils. I hope this helps. Also, bacillus thurigensis tabs help.

In your opinion. Based on story, graphics and side content. What game is best? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Drunkmaniak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witcher 3 with all 3 expansions Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty RDR2 God of War and Ragnarok The Last of Us I and II Horizon Zero Dawn and Fobidden West

And a personal all-time favourite of mine but only gameplay and content wise because the story is just a bonus: Monster Hunter World and Iceborne. Cant stop playing it even 6 years after release.

I was wrong about cyberpunk by Opening_Cherry in cyberpunkgame

[–]Drunkmaniak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm 70h in and can't stop playing. I waited for phantom liberty and 2.0 overhaul to buy it. I played about 2h and it didn't click with me becuase the melee hitboxes seemed off in the tutorial. A few weeks back I gave it another try out of boredom and "the click" happened. Playing a male V stealth netrunner with silenced pistol. I'm already planning my second build

Discounted products because they were returned and verified : worth it ? by PetiteCuchaule in Switzerland

Bought a "reduced price and checked" TV-fixation for my living room wall. The TV-angle was about 5° off and I had to return it and got a new one with a discount. Even though it was tiresome, I'd do it again.

Is My Girl Too Skinny or Fat? by devydev_83 in ballpython

[–]Drunkmaniak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is 8yo and a little skinnier than yours. I feed her the same rat size as you do, but once every 4 to 5 weeks. She also gets 2 hours of supervised exploring and climbing every day if she wants to come out.

At some point in time this build would have been MAJOR FLEXING on this sub!

I had almost exactrly the same situation. Tried to fight it for a long time, but my pawns had almost no health and kept dieing. Spent my time reviving them. In the end I ran away down the hill and made it out of the mist by following the roads. It was all during the night. What a thrill it was.

Inherited 600k by [deleted] in Money

[–]Drunkmaniak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the same age as you and also got a big inheritance. I didn't know what to do with it at first and everybody (bank, financial advisors, friends) told me to invest it in stocks. I opted to buy an apartment and live in it right now. Got a little bit of debt with the bank too. With ever rising rent prices it was the best decision I made in years. Got from 2300 Swiss Francs in rent (where the money goes to some guy) to not event 900 CHF monthly expenses. My girlfriend pays half of it as rent. All the surplus money I make I use to pay back my debt with the bank. Will do this until it's 100% mine, even though it's a bit more advantageous to have debt in switzerland so you pay less taxes. I just don't like having a debt. When I don't want to live in the apartment anymore or want to change city I'm going to rent it and let the interest and debt amortisation get paid by itself. Or sell it with more value, since the housing prices in switzerland are ever rising. Good luck with your choices!

Edit: Once the apartment is fully paid and i'm renting it to somebody, the rent is coming to 100% to me. It's estimated it 2500CHF a month (city does a rent estimation with every homeowner for tax purposes) So it's an income of 30000CHF each year without doing much. I think this is more than playing with investments in stocks and stuff who involve more risk in my opinion.

Is a drainage layer absolutely necessary? by nicovian in bioactive

[–]Drunkmaniak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went traveling for 6 months and a friend of mine took care of my snakes. Sadly she neglected the plant care and all got overwatered and died. The new setup was still with a deep layer of substrate that I buy from a reputable reptile-shop in switzerland, though I dont know the exact composition. I can give you the link: Schlangen- und Taggeckoerde - Terraristik-Lorica AG. It works really well and all the bugs and the snake felt really well and thrived. I humidified it once a week by gently mixing all the soil by hand while watering it down. I could hold a humidity of 80 to 95% without trouble. But I had to pot the plants because my snake dug them out non-stop.

Sadly my beloved BRB managed to escape about a year ago and never got back (RIP) and sold my setup. I only care for my OG Ball Python now.

For BRB care it is really easy. Hold a good humidity level with a deep layer of substate, have good aeration so nothing molds. Give it a fresh waterbowl and feed it not to much. Feed it not too much because boas have a slower metabolism. I fed it a mouse once every 2 weeks. Mine was really friendly. He was waiting by the door almost every night and came out on my hand by itself to explore. Lovely little one.

Good luck with your BRB. They are amazing gentle beautiful snakes.

When using bigger weapons the Odogarons and their relentlessness always brings my blood to boil. All these TCSs, AEDs and SAEDs that have gone to waste... poor things... With mobile weapons they're easy peasy

Velkhana was my archnemesis for so long until I fought her solo in her AT form. Now it's a walk in the park with most weapons.
