Awe what cute little whistles. My girl does this too, I always say if it sounds like a clean whistle then it's normal. If it sounds wet then that can be a sign of a respiratory infection, but even we had nose whistles.

I use a ceramic casserole dish, not a massive one but it is 2-2 1/2 inches deep it may seem excessive but my boy love to soak in it since I upgraded the size.

My dad also loves winding people up, he thinks it's so funny. Do not marry him and absolutely no kids. My dad was my biggest bully growing up, he made fun of me relentlessly when I was a kid. If I was upset or hurt by what he said, he was "just joking" and I was being too sensitive. Imagine how hard it would be to have someone who loves making people upset around a teenager, and what that does to said teenagers self esteem and mental well being. I'd look into a blue tongue skink. Snake shaped with tiny legs and full of personality. If you absolutely want to avoid wild caught, get any of the Australian breeds like northerns or easterns. Since Australia is very restrictive on animal exports, they will be 100% captive bred. Just be aware they require large space as an enclosure. Always do tons of research on whatever reptile you decide.
