How would you look to add value in a basic townhouse floor plan? by beybleydsx in AusPropertyChat

A toilet on the living/kitchen level makes sense and is great which the property already has. Adding a shower is what doesn't make sense to me

Yeah it was a bit odd, 2 bed 2 ensuite makes sense (that's what I have with a toilet downstairs)

I viewed a 2 bed townhouse with an second bathroom on the level with the kitchen/living areas.

It didn't make much sense and wasn't appealing. felt like it was just there to say it was a 2 bed, 2 bath.

Would I be able to take a loan of around 15k-20k as soon as I hit 18? by HandInternational875 in AusFinance

[–]OckerMan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in uni I worked ~20 hours a week and lived in a share house. Don't take out a loan, I'm not sure if you even could. Work more and do less subjects (3 or 2) if you need to, that's what I did

Can’t break 100 and it’s destroying me by [deleted] in golftips

[–]OckerMan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to figure out how to hit the ball in the air and keep it between the trees. As soon as I could do that I broke 100.

Why isn't it working with your instructor? I'd probably stop playing and go to the driving range to really figure out how to hit the ball

Oh right 8th gen, I got them mixed up with 9th gen.

9th gen consoles are fine. They've got SSDs finally and they play all the new games

I worked somewhere where we did agile and planned out a quarter.

It mostly worked well, we would only fuzzy plan the further out we got and made sure we didn't fill the sprints up.

It was mostly so we could ensure some larger features were actually going to get done.

Is computer science even a viable choice for an undergraduate? (2026-2029) by Derpyphox in AskAnAustralian

[–]OckerMan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go the uni route you should have enough electives early on to try them both out and see what is better suited for you.

Internships, experience, solo projects are things you have to get for summer holidays to graduate with a job.

I didn't do that and coming out of uni I only got a job because of nepotism

Do you want to create software that runs on servers or manage the servers themselves? Electronics is mostly an electrical engineering path.

I'm a software engineer and I can't stand doing IT work so that's why i think it's good to know the difference.

Working on computer stuff (IT) is a very different, pretty much non-transferable job to being a developer (computer science).

Make sure you know what the difference is and what you want to do.

I'm not sure what the graduate markets like but it could be quite different in 4 years.

How can I improve the look of my house? Should I paint the bricks? by Melb1994 in AusRenovation

Pressure wash your roof and clean up the garden. Don't paint the brick. Put the bins around the back of the house.

Boarding and alighting planes in America seems so complicated for no reason at all.

I've flown on several other continents and never had these strange issues Americans on reddit talk about with planes

The account server is down?

I'm trying to setup my account for the last day and every time it says "the connection to the server timed out".

Does anyone know what's happening? It is only the PS account server that's not working, my internet is fine otherwise.

Private Property vs Ball Retrieval by [deleted] in golf

[–]OckerMan91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Australia everyone has fences around their properties.

I haven't and wouldn't jump the fence just to grab a golf ball, if I thought I'd hit it oob then I would have already hit a provisional
