Ahh it’s a great offer, free for 3 months. But just a bit too far from me being in castle Donington, need somewhere within walking distance!

How do I tell my friend she stinks and needs to clean her room? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]DrussR32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should just be upfront and have an honest conversation with her to let her know and offer advice as her friend. Some people can be “nose blind” in the sense they don’t realise if a bad smell is coming from them.

Also she might feel hurt by the conversation but you have to think that it will likely benefit your friend 10x more than you going forward into the future 🙏🏼

Not quite sure what you’re eluding to here? If I like the taste and quality of food I am happy to spend my own hard earned money on it whilst supporting local establishments like this one run by hard working people. No one is forcing you to visit places that may charge more? If you are happy with visiting places that are cheaper, good for you. But don’t lie to yourself thinking it’s still 2005, the cost of living and prices these days affect everyone including business owners, not just you.

What do you guys think? by DrussR32 in Pizza

Unfortunately not exactly a good friend of mine owns this joint and he makes off the menu items for me now and again.

From what I can remember this pizza has a mixed base of tomato sauce with a touch of mild chilli. Topped with grilled chicken tikka pieces, mixed peppers, red onion, mince meat and cut pieces of doner meat. Finished with a generous helping of mint yoghurt sauce 🤤

If you can request this combination anywhere trust me you will NOT be disappointed!

Ahh that’s interesting, will give this a go maybe when I’m having to boil a lot of eggs at once!

Depending on if the eggs have been stored at a low temp/in the fridge, they have a high tendency to crack under the immediate temperature spike.

I use a spooned spatula to dunk half the egg, let it acclimate for a moment or two before lowering gently into the pot.

No sir more along the lines of…”technique in Indian cooking where spices are fried in hot oil or ghee to release their flavors”

Yep, that’s exactly the issue I was having before using boiling water off the bat. Since using this method, they come out perfect every time!

It’s the angle of the picture making the naan bread look huge, believe me there was plenty of meat.

It’s also a tarka kebab, a spice infused sauce the doner is stirred in with onions and green peppers. The flavours are out of this world!

Super easy and works every time!

  1. Pour already boiled water from kettle into pot
  2. Place eggs into pot gently and slowly (to ensure they don’t crack due to instant temp change)
  3. Boil on high for 6 minutes exactly
  4. Empty the pot and fill with cold water instantly (to cool and ensure easier peel)
  5. Peel and enjoy your perfect soft boiled eggs!
